It really PO's me when scammers contact active, retired and veteran military with their phony lines soliciting funds for veterans (especially when I had family members who served and retired and also two members in my household who are Vietnam Era vets--my wife and myself who is a life member of DAV and the American Legion). To avoid funding a scammer or donating to a little known group who takes most of the money for operation costs (check with your state's attorney general's office who can provide financial details), leaving almost nothing for the veterans it is best for one to research and choose a reputable target organization who will get the donations to those whom they promise to do so.

Hopefully the payday loan broker will be in the need of a maxi payday loan when our government gets through with him or her.

Don't get too excited, don't get excited at all.
Despite what some said earlier in the thread, no one ha EVER gone to jail over these cases, AAMOF few have had their assets seized (a they hide it while their scams operate).
The puke who ran the car warranty scam, and "Bridget from your credit card" were all back at it, worse than ever, within ix months.
FTC or FCC has to send it's findings to DoJ which is the only fed agency that can prosecute these.

For the last eight years, they were too busy investigating George Zimmerman and the cop in Ferguson.

We do not believe these calls will ever stop. Unlisted numbers are
useless. I suppose the best thing we can do is simply not answer
these fools. Sometimes what works is hitting the number sign (#####)  5 or 6 times and it disconnects them and they do not call again. Unfortunately, we get so frustrated we forget to use our own system. The telephone co is delighted with these calls - more revenue for them. They will not help us !!!

VIP Loan Shop is still doing business, at least as a false name for a payday loan service, which "Court Recovery" uses as a business client name to try to "recover" money from you.  I guess these scams never go away, only the numbers change?

So they get their wives or their sons or daughters or nephews to own the company.  An injunction is no big deal for these guys.

The first time it happens, call your bank to report fraud and ask them to close that account and open a new one immediately. I've done this over the phone late at night!

I don't answer these and I can see it being  debt recovery organization.  I've been with the real NRA for ages and this just isn't their way.   Debt recovery organization makes a lot more sense.

The two scammers stole $6.2 million and didn't serve one day in jail.  In fact, they didn't even have to repay the victims back....claimed they were broke.  Great job FTC!

Here is what makes me crazy I have reported hell I still have the recorded threatening calls the emails from the FBI ( lol) emails regarding being sued by complete strangers ect... I saved everything wI reported everything. I even and this was early on received a call from my actual bank so I thought threatening to freeze my account if I didn’t pay an amount I questioned them and he well I foolishly did it and he made me have him listen so to make sure I did it as he implied that I d be sorry... needlessly I was angry at myself. I immediately told manager and told her but it was a spoofed call ect... ugh well lesson learned since then lol I love the threats because like I said keep it up I’ve got so much evidence from many many Scumbag’s... I even have more these idiots call my parents my brother they’re so stupid!!
What infuriating is that not one person has assisted me hell I had I still have so much that could catch so many. And I don’t believe in suing for everything but this is a nightmare besides it’s mandatory to catch these criminals!!! I see how many people have thankfully gotten justice but me well I got aggravated and still get calls so do my parents
