- rbrock replies to Freida| 1 replyThis is a scam by the phone companies. To begin with, who in their right mind would do business with someone, out of the blue, calls you up and offers you a pie in the sky deal. I searched a number down and behold, it was (such & such) DBA Verizon wireless. Got Verizon on the phone and directed them to the website, Verizon adamantly denied any association with that company and sent a letter to my company denying any involvement with that company. But it's plain as the nose on your face, the phone companies generate income by selling air time and eating up yours with worthless calls. I wish the NSA would disclose who these worthless SOB's are I would personally pay them a nice little visit a shove their goddamn phone up their [***] and then down their throat. In that order. What a useless bunch of idiots we have passing laws, this is by all means harassment, but that doesn't matter. I guess I'll get a visit from DHS for threating to shove a phone up someone's ass.
- MargeI got so many telemarket calls that I could not block that I finally set my answering machine to answer after two rings. If the person calling has an important message they leave it, like my doctors office. But finally all the telemarket calls are stopping. this is the first time for this one and after they call a few times and get the same they will stop ...try it.
- PThis is how I got them to stop calling....I answered but immediately pressed the # key on my phone for an entire minute. To THEM it sounds like a FAX MACHINE....did it 3 times and get no more calls! Just FYI

- conthis weird 1-000-000-0000 keeps calling constantly. I guessed they found a way to block the numbers on the computer. I ignored several of them already and picked up on one of them. I didn't say one word and they hung up.

- tillie01I received a call on my cell from 000-000-0000 telling me my loan had been approved. I have not applied for a loan. When I told him that and ask for the company name, he hung up on me.
- John| 1 replyI got a call from this number today. Took about 5 seconds for the person to come on. Thick Indian accent for a guy named Julius Wilson. Said he was calling from the Windows Support and Security Center about my Windows computer. I played along as I've heard of this scam before (been a while). I asked which one because I had five. He said the one with Windows 7. I said they all had Windows 7. This got him pretty confused. I asked about why he was calling. He said he wanted to speak to me about a possible security issue with my Windows computer. I again asked which one. He again said the one with Windows 7. I again said they all had Windows 7. Again, he confused and began stuttering. I then told him I was sorry, I made a mistake. All my computers are Macs. The line went dead.

- Gaelic GalI received a call this morning at 10:28 from 000-000-0000. I answered it, and it was a guy telling me about a sweepstakes. It was clearly a scam, so I interrupted him, said, "I'm not an idiot. Don't call here again.", and slammed down the phone. They called again at 10:34 so I just picked it and swore at them before they could start speaking and slammed down the phone. Now they've called me again at 11:35 then again at 12:36. I suspect this is going to keep happening every hour. What can I do?
- Call type: Telemarketer

When I answer the phone, seemingly no one is on the other end of the line, until I hear a click and the call is ended. One would think they could find better things to do!! - bbbrrryyyccceee replies to Cass Langerbbbrrryyyccceee

- AxeoasisI'm currently at school and i just got this call. curious, i googled it and ended up here. from what i've heard so far is that its just telemarketers trying to scam people, and all the zeros are a way of covering up their company's numbers. One thing i did notice is that my phone shook more violently when i got the call, and that the call request when on wayyyyyyy longer than it should of. it might just be my phone but who knows. just don't be scared and ignore the call.
- Caller: Didn't answer
