I and someone else that I know both have gotten voice mails from this number saying that someone has filed restraining orders against us, to forward the information to our lawyer, and gives a number to call them back on.  I am thinking it must be a scam?  I haven't called the number they left to call back.

Here is a quick way to get them off the phone . I answer by stating I'm bound by law to inform them, they have dialed a premium rate number , and its $2 a min on their bill : Then say , " Do you still want to continue ?? " and by then , well I'm talking to myself ;-) , the word gets around fast , as my bogus calls have diminished too approx 1 a week .
they don't know if they've rang a premium rate number or not , and i guess don't want to take the risk of their calls costing them, while they try rip you off .:-))))
It is totally irresponsible for a phone line supplier, to just sell phone lines to bogus companies , without first investigating what the phone line will be used for < perhaps that's naive of me ??

my callers number was 0000 00000

I'm getting calls on my celllphone his 0 number and I'm on the do not call list. This is actually illegal. If you can get your number you can get them to pay you 1000 for every call they make to you and if you get the number and report them they will be put out of business.   The problem is I can't get the real number.

Why would they call? No number, no message. They maybe thieves calling to see if your home! I got three calls from them. I am trying to block 000-000-0000 to see if it works. Everyone else try it to. Maybe this will work for the hundreds of people using 000-000-0000.

I just got a call from that number. The guy listed a bunch of credit card names and asked me which one I carry? When I asked why he needed to know, he said I was entered into a $1 million contest. I told him he doesn't need that information to enter a contest. He actually said "we do". I told him to lose my number. Idiot said "sorry I don't understand". I told him to delete my number and never call me again. What a stupid scammer!

Am in Toronto. Have received several calls from this number over the last few days. Today, decided to pick it up to see what scam it was. East Indian boiler room, claiming to offer a Bell Canada phone and internet package. He then asked if I was a Bell Customer. I said 'If you're calling from Bell, should you not already have that info?" He then wanted to know who I dealt with, and I told him that's my business and not his - he hung up.  FYI, I did get a legit call from Bell a couple of weeks ago, and they agreed to put me on their DNC list, though it could take up to a month.

What do you mean by "follow through"? I have given all of the information required by some spam callers to the do not call website (I've been on that list for years), and there has been absolutely no follow up from them. None!

I get occasional calls from this number on my cell phone - a number that only family and close friends have, so I have no idea how they got it.

Usually, I let it ring and as soon as my voicemail comes on, they end the call.  The one time I actually answered, I got a moment of silence, then a computer voice says something about being disconnected from a conference call.

Needless to say, this is really confusing, since I'm not participating in any conference calls, and if I was, I wouldn't be using my cell phone!

You may be able to go into the settings on your tv or cable/satellite box and change the settings so it doesn't pop up.  :)

Just got a call from this number and said my computer was hacked into and he would fix it.  LOL  I kept them on the phone for a while playing dumb.  They were getting so frustrated, they had 3 different guys on the phone.  I was laughing so hard, I ask if  I could record them for a TV special I was doing on fraud.  He said if he could find a decent job he would. I told him I'm sure McDonalds was hiring. He hung up.  Oh what fun that was....
