Unwanted call from 000-000-0000.  Please stop.

It doesn't work!  I've been on it for several years and I have filed complaints about telemarketers.  I have more calls now than before Do Not Call started.  I think maybe THEY give out our numbers to keep them busy at their jobs, which are paid for with our taxpayer money.

They sound like incompetent scammers!  What is their point?  My ringer is off and I wasn't home when this call came in.  I check the caller ID log to see if I have any legitimate calls.  Most are telemarketer scams.  5 calls today from numbers out of state, one in state and 2 not showing, including this one.  Like someone here said once, "they can find Bin Laden and Suddam Hussain but they can't find the telemarketers."  So much for the "do not call" lists.  They don't work and I think they just aggravated the issue causing more calls OR maybe they are the ones giving out our numbers!

Did not answer phone. They called yesterday and twice this morning.  They did not leave message, so assuming it is not important. Also blocked number

these people call on so many various #s...I immediately hit "1" so I CAN get them on the phone...if I am in a good mood, I may simply ask them if this is the pathetic existence their life has come down to, or point out that that Obama thing doesn't appear to be working too good for them....typically, however, I will tell them how good their wife is while they are doing this for a $, how disgusted their mama is that they took this channel at making a living, or, more often than not, as loud as I possibly can, a good ol'   "F**k YOU!"  Don't rightfully care if this seems childish.....don't rightfully care if the FCC shows up at my door.  I am not the problem and neither are any of you on these complaint sites......oh......and the haji baba that calls and tells you his name is "jim" or "tom" (yeah, right....more like "aki from [***]") and he's detected a virus in your computer and you should turn it on immediately - get him going by.........nah.........you can fill in the blanks......answer the phone! hit "1" right way and be rude, obnoxious and as socially unacceptable as possible.....then hang up before they do.....it's no more cowardly than they are being by hiding behind #s that do not exist.......perhaps if enough of us do THIS, they will cease their operations and we can all get back to actually talking to people we want to, like the in-laws!

Im getting calls from a 000 number a pain in the butt

The number is a fed number used to spy. it collects data and records all of your. voice interactions on the phone.also  used by the nsa and the cia.

also used to hiack you mind with skulling and mind stalking

Have gotten these calls as early as 8 am, just this number alone stinks in my opinion. I am sick, elderly and get awaken many times by the no good fish tales.

I have been getting calls from this number for a couple weeks but don't answer.  According to wiki, the calls are "From a prepaid long distance card. No matter what their number is, this [000-000-0000] will show on the caller ID."  I figure if it is someone who I do know, they will leave a message. So I just block these unwanted calls.  It's terrible how we are held hostage by these scammers, etc to where we can no longer answer our phone. It seems like if I do answer these calls, then I just get more of them.

We've been receiving calls from 1-000-000-0000.  Long wait, then hear brief message like "goodbye ".  Where is this coming from?  How to stop it?

You've got to be joking, sarcastic, or just plain insane.  Everyone knows donotcall.gov does not work at all.....we've all been on it for years and the tele-crap calls never end.  You were kidding, right?

This is a new one on me.  Thought it was a glitch with the caller ID since it came up all zeros.  Not surprised since it's 9 degrees here this morning.  Anyhow, I checked the number on your website just for grins and was shocked to see all the posts.  At least I know it's not my caller ID or the weather.....this number is REAL.  WHO KNEW?

Someone from this number keeps calling and asking for me, my husband told me that he could barely understand what this man was saying. My husband has told them several times to stop calling. Last time they called my husband was not very nice. Tired of these several times daily!!!!!

The posters who said they call multiple times are absolutely correct.  I did not answer this number this morning and they called back this afternoon.  This time I answered and just yelled "what do you want?" into the phone.  A guy with a heavy accent who said his name was Sam said he was calling about my computer.  I told him no legitimate business would call with a phone number that was all zeroes and he hung up on me.

Got my first call from this number today, but I've been getting spam calls heavily from other numbers for the past 10 days. Not sure what I did in the last 2 weeks or so to cause all of these calls. I haven't signed up for anything and have nothing else going on (like bad credit).

Just had call from 00000000. Tried to ring back and voicemail said it's permanently barred. No idea who they are. Is this a scam?
