I just a call from these clowns and they would not answer after I picked up.  I have a policy of asking if someone is there three times and staying on the line for at least five to ten seconds.  I didn't hear a sound and hung up.  I followed this up by using *57 so that Comcast can track the call in the future.

Here is a list of things you can do to bring these calls to an end.  After you hang-up you need to immediately enter *57 so that your phone carrier (Comcast, Verizon, etc.) can log details about the call that you cannot see.  A call log that contains the number, date, and time and the group making the call, if possible.  It is also very helpful to search the internet for anymore information on the number that called you.  Finally, after you receive three to four calls (Comcast's suggestion) you can file a complaint with the www,ics3.gov web site and I have been warned it could take a couple of months for a response.

The ridiculousness of the Do Not Call Registry summed up in this simple statement on Wikipedia-

"Area code 000 is not a valid United States area code. This code may show up as part of a number on a caller id system when receiving telemarketer outbound calls or from VoIP services, such as Skype or Vonage, because there is no requirement that caller id data represent a valid telephone number.[1]"

IMAGINE!! No requirement that caller ID data represent a valid telephone number!!?? How then, do we stop these types of calls- I'm going to try my call block and see if it will accept it but why is this OK?! I will never answer one- ad I might add- do not ever try to call it back to see who it is because you will connect to an operator and then be charged by your carrier for operator assistance. This is madness,,,,,,,,,,

I have answered.  His name is John from the Redemption Center.   I asked to redeem what?  He says points from my Visa, Mastercard, debit card, etc.  Told him I don't have any cards and hung up.  Sounds like fraud to me.

I got a call on November 10, 2012 from 000-000-0000 at 6:03. That was 8 days after my 32 year old son passed away. I got a call from the same number today, November 30, 2013 at 5:57. Isn't that odd?

I've gotten so manny calls from so many numbers. This is one of them. Since I've activated my new phone I have been absolutely bombarded by phone calls for a man named Wilfred. The caller id has been from Texas, Alaska, new york, and a handful of other places. But every time it's the same man. A middle aged sounding man of Indian decent who gets angry and yells at me when I tell him Wilfred no longer has this number.

I got a call 3 times today from this 1-000-000-0000 number, I learned that this is a scam. Also if any of you guys/girls have a newer model Samsung phone you can block the number by hold the number down as if you where going to call.  A reject caller option will pop up. Select it and this number will not be able to call you anymore.

Carol - we too get many calls from alleged "Microsoft." They hang up the second I say, "I did not call you. You called me. I never do business over the phone with anyone I do not call...If there's a problem with my computer, I take it to my computer professional."

Am sick and tired of receiving calls from 000-000-0000.  I've tried answering two or three times to tell them to stop calling me.  There's a strange sound when I answer and it's as though I can hear the TV in the phone.  I am on the donotcall list and have been for years.  This is happening on my land line -- not on my cell phone.  I even used the "block" feature through Century Link.  Nothing works.  I need a strong whistle to blow next time I pick up the phone.
