Once again, they are calling asking for my boss or his wife (he's not married). In 2012 they called and said they were part of Newt Gingrich's political campaign.

The 000-000-0000 number could be ANYONE calling for any reason. "Anyone" being debt collectors, telemarketers, spoofers, creeps, OR even legitimate people calling that use a line that is programmed to show up with that number. I have had POLICE call me back with is number. Police that I know and have dealt with, as well as when someone from a military base called me. So, I think we should all be leery of any number which shows up this way because you cannot verify who it is who is calling you. It does stink that you can't block it via Verizon. That's not right- we should be able to block it....but that's how the callers get around it. Mike D on the first page had a great explanation.

It's a computer generated call no one on the other end needs to say anything. Once you open your line by answering, the computer gets all your info including your contact list. Don't answer!

Received a call from 000-000-0000 and a person with a foreign accent said he was from Microsoft and there was something wrong with my computer and he would help me fix it.  He wanted me to go to my computer and he would walk me through the steps to check.  First he wanted me to search for "EVENTVWR" (I think...hard to understand).  I wanted to call him back but said I could not call back.  At that point I told him I didn't want to do business with him and hung up.  I suspect this is a scam.

I'm one of the few that actually wants 000-000-0000 to come through my phone.  I just switched to Ooma VoIP service.  Works greats and saves me a ton of money.  Unfortunately a lot of my Government contacts use the 0000000000 caller ID for security reasons.  these are being blocked somewhere in the pipe (they weren't blocked on old landline).  I have to now call them only; or they have to call me cell phone.  I want the option to block phone #s.  I don't need the phone company or ISP to do it for me.

Most effective call blocking system is simple: If you don't recognize the number on your call id or cell phone...DON'T ANSWER. Works for me every time. And if the calls come in at dinner time or lunch time, that's a big clue you don't want to answer.

This is the longest thread I've ever seen on 800Notes. Who would ever answer a call from (000) 000-0000?  ¯\_(⊙︿⊙)_/¯
Called my DNC registered landline on 03/26/2014 @ 11:30 AM. Caller ID shows Unknown Name. No message was left.

I too have been getting a phone call from this number 000 000 0000 and above this  number is this V0328032108001. I did not answer it because I just knew it was too strange and I just did not want to speak with whom ever might be on the other end. My phone company is Cogeco. I really think there is no way of stopping them.

This 0000000000 number calls me at least twice a day, including Saturday mornings which is really annoying.  I always have to stop what I'm doing, find my phone, look at the screen, then shut it off.

It's an intrusion on privacy and an abuse of your time, no different than someone knocking on your door 4 or 5 times a day just to harass you.  Congress should do something useful and begin charging 5 cents for every unsolicited call.

I get calls from this stupid company, and I get calls from New York and New Jersey every freakin' day.  I need my phone for work, so getting rid of it isn't a solution.  I'm also considering the whistle solution.  In fact, someone should invent an app that you don't even have to answer the phone, just punch in a couple numbers and your phone automatically answers the caller and blasts them with the sound of nails being scraped across a blackboard.

I have been getting calls from this number several times a day for the past week or two. I never answer as I am aware that it can't be a legitimate number.

I've received calls from this number 4 or 5 times and there is never an answer when I pick up. I would like the calls to stop altogether.
