I receive calls from this #000-000-0000 multiple time a day...NEVER ANSWER . Being that I don't owe anyone as much as a dime, I don't think it's a collection agency. However,I have  been repeatingly getting calls from telemarketers trying to sell me automotive repair insurance...JUST ANOTHER SCAM

Caller sounded to be from India, could barely understand a word, but this is the one where they are calling about your Windows computer and you have a virus and you need to get on your computer and log on, I assume they are trying to access your computer. I told him he was wasting his time, to just keep calling as often as he wanted but it was going to be only a waste of his time! HE HUNG UP ON ME, LOL! I'm so sick of these scammers, if these people would use their time to get a real job the world would be a better place. It's gotten out of control and I'm sick of it!

That is a very helpful suggestion!  That is exactly what I am going to do.  That is, if my very simple, no-frills cell phone allows me to do that.  Thank you!!

Same scum, weird Spoofed number - "--0--" (Dash Dash Zero Dash Dash) Caller ID "Unavailable" was all that an old US West CallerID box and shine new Sentry Ver2.2 Call Blocker could show as the CID.  A CPR Big Red Button Ver2 Call Blocker added the call as a VoIP type that was already in it's blocked call list - I got to smile and enjoy them once more bouncing off the blockers.

The Sentry was unable to add the call to it's Black List because of the goofy way the spoofer sent the call ID, but it doesn't really matter since the number was auto blocked by the Sentry's built in "Challenge All Calls" Advanced Mode feature that asks all incoming calls that are not on it's "White List" to press 0 to get through...

The Sentry blocks ALL the incoming trash that's hit it so far, if it maintains the length of service the CPR has demonstrated it is the better unit to have...  Having both does have a few nice effects - the CPR keeps a running total on what number has called how may times, which was how I was able to tell it was a VoIP call - current "winner" is 43 calls blocked from the same number.

    Use Caller ID
By now, most people know better than to answer an obviously phony number like 000 000-0000.

Know that when you respond to/answer a "survey", solicitation call or scam call, even just to hang up or tell them not to call, that your response becomes part of a database of people who indiscriminately answer the phone. You're a live one and you're going to get a lot more calls.

The caller might not have successfully solicited a donation/sale or scammed you, but you are now the best chance the callers have. So, use your caller ID and do not encourage the behavior!

    Name notwithstanding,
    You are entirely right!
When we take the profit out of the behavior, the behavior will disappear!

I got a call from 000-000-0000 and it was a middle eastern man saying that my internet connection was unsecure. This number has called me previous times and there was no noise. Then they started to talk to me about my internet connection. They also called me a *ma'am* even though I am a male :P. But seriously this is really starting to annoy me and I can't block them since my phone is an older model.

Why can't the phone providers stop this .BS from happening? No one should be able to remain anonymous when calling a phone that we pay for.  It is my phone and no one else's.  Yes, I have received calls from this number. I have blocked it and have never answered it, but it is still annoying.  I should'.nt have to put up with it.

I had a call today. It sounded like a call centre in the background. Caller said they were receiving reports from my computer and there was a problem with Windows. I told them that I knew this was a scam and they terminated the call immediately.

CHECKED MY VOICE MAIL AND, I HAD A MESSAGE FROM THIS NUMBER 000 000 0000 AT 6:19PM ON 4/20/15.
THE CALLER'S VOICE WAS MALE WITH A VERY THICK ACCENT--A LOT OF BACKROUND NOISE LIKE WHAT
YOU HEAR IN A CALL CENTER MADE IT HARD TO UNDERSTAND WHAT HE WAS TRYING TO SAY. I COULD
DISTINGUISH THAT IT RELATED TO MONEY--$8500.00, BUT FOR WHAT, I COULDN'T TELL. I DELETED THE
    MESSAGE.

Thank you for this information! I had no idea that someone could spoof their caller ID number.
