I believe these scammers only use a particular phone number for 30 days.  According to one DNC employee I talked to, the FCC can't prosecute or fine a violator for the first 30 days.   So they harass people for a month and then continue with a new number  and another scammer picks up their old phone number.   I have blocked at least 15 different  numbers for the Call Alert crooks.  Maybe the DNC laws need to be updated and made more stringent.  Hope that helps.

I got a call from 000-000-0000 and I was curious who it was so <gasp> I answered.  A female with a heavy accent said they were calling from the United States Government Grants department about a grant.  She asked for me by name.  I asked her what it had to do with me.  She started answering but I couldn't help myself, and I started laughing. She got angry and started swearing at me and hung up.  It was just funny because I had gotten a call from another # and read about this very scam.  So now this # is now blocked on my phone.  <sigh>  Panasonic phone allows me to block # but this version is only 30 at a time.

I just received a call from the 0000000000 number. The recording said a name and he was calling from the united states in Washington, DC. I didn't think about it until I hung up that it repeated "hello can you hear me" I said yes. I hung up and thought about the fact they want you to say yes to record your voice saying yes. I'm not sure for what reason they call, but it sounds like they would try to get people to talk and say key words they need in order to make a complete recording. Almost like a sound board.

actually, yes, they are exempt from the 'no call registry'. I know because I work in the field.

I GOT A CALL FROM +000-000-0000 SOMEONE SAID THEY ARE FROM UNITED STATES GOVERNMENT AND THAT THERE IS CASH FOR ME AND THEY CAN ONLY SEND IT TO MY BANK OR CREDIT CARD. I TOLD THEM THAT SINCE THE GOVERNMENT HAS MY PHONE NUMBER THEY ALSO HAVE MY ADDRESS SO SEND A CHECK AND I HUNG UP !

The reason all zero's shows up on your caller ID is because whoever is calling is spoofing their caller ID (which in my opinion ought to be a crime).  Your local police would not call and ask for donations since they operate from tax dollars, so whoever it was calling was a scammer, probably trying to get your credit card number.

They're not all "getting" the same number, they're all spoofing their caller ID by putting in all zeroes.  Since it's a common thing with many scammers/shady telemarketers, I put 000-000-0000 into my call blocker's blacklist.

Constant calls from 000-000-0000.  Two rings then hangup.  Anyone know who this might be?

For the past three weeks, I have been hitting the speakerphone button twice in succession to virtually instantly answer and disconnect this call which comes in three to six times per day.  For the three weeks prior, I answered this call at the same rate and there was never anything or anyone there-it would simply disconnect itself after a few seconds of total silence.  Hence, I have no idea who it is and God help them if I ever find out who they are.

If you have an iPhone, you can touch the info button and scroll to the bottom where it asks if you want to block the number.  Ever since I started doing this, my scam alls have almost vanished.

Never call again my number

I received a call from a number of +0000000000, I answered the call and asked to be removed from the calling list.  The person on the other end of the phone was of Asian decent, and said to me, "You don't even know what the F_ _ _ I want.   They then hung up on me.  Now, going forward, would anyone even thing about using a company, or what ever they are, like that?  I just added this number to my Blocked Call list...

Just received a call from this , 000-000-0000 no. I don't answer , any numbers now, that I do not know. I received a call in Feb., 2015 , also. Like I said, I have not answered , the calls.

And I WANT EVERYONE TO KNOW THIS BECAUSE HE PUT SPYWARE ON MY PHONE BEFORE HE HAS PAYCHOTIC ISSUES(SEVERE) AND NEEDS TO GET PROFESSIONAL HELP! HE HAS BEEN STALKING ME AND HE EVEN STOLD MY IDENTITY AND MY COUSINS IDENTITY TOO... I HOPE LAW ENFORCEMENT OR GOVERNMENT READS THESE AND DOES SOMETHING ABOUT THIS SEVERE ISSUE.
