Any time Blockbuster calls me with a recording that I have a movie due, it is from 000-000-0000.  Once that number called though, and it was a survey.

so they have been calling me on and off about twice a week now for a month. at first i dont answer but after about the 6th time they called i figured find out who it is ... so on the 6th call i answer and its some chick and she's selling something what ? i dont care because im not buying it. then i told her to remove me from any list they have my name on since i am on not only the DO NOT CALL Florida list BUT i am also the DO NOT CALL Nationwide list. this was to no avail as she explained to me it was tough and i should expect ppl to call and harass me on the phone with sales calls. ( even tho i would never order something over the phone totally randomly especially not from a total [***].) IMHO ppl are now Caller ID hacking their own caller id's and this should be addressed quickly by the phone co's or i can forsee major problems.

I received such a call at my business.  They (a woman) asked for me by my first name.  When I hesitantly said yes, I was discounted after a few seconds

Whomever this is has really hit my buttons!  They call on my cell phone which is also my business phone.  I break my neck to answer the phone and when I finally get to it, that stupid number shows up.  I've gotten several calls from this number in the past week.  I called T-Mobile to see if I could block the number, but I have a Motorola Rizr and that particular phone does not include the blocking option....rats!

I've been getting calls on my home phone when no one is at home. The return number on the ID shows 555-333-4444. I tried to call it back once but a recorded voice said "This is not a valid number." What can cause this?

    THANK YOU!
I've been getting those same calls. They've been scaring the @#$@ out of my wife because we're going through some legal trouble and she thought a lawyer was playing tricks.
I wish there was a way to make everybody use a little common sense.

Received this 000-000-0000 on my cell phone a couple of times.  Called T-Mobile my carrier and the service rep was in Canada.  She said she and the other reps in Canada are receiving the same calls and can't fiqure it out either.

No matter what the number is, If you don't recognize it, Don't answer it!  Anything that comes up with "unknown" or "000-000-0000" especially!  It's either a scam, or someone you really don't want to talk to anyway, such as a bill collector or solicitor.  If it just so happens to be someone you know, and it's and important reason they're calling, i'm sure they'll leave a message.
