If you get the 000-000-0000 caller ID then it's a scam.  First choice is to pick up then click the off button.  If you choose to pick up and answer, be sure to tell them (if they have an Indian accent) that you are right in the middle of a huge steak dinner.  The cow you are eating was slaughtered by you and took great pleasure in it.
You'd think that these mental midgets would realize that EVERYONE knows not to talk to foreign accented people who call out of the blue.

Why are you answering an unknown caller? I think you doing that is pretty funny and foolish.
Especially as silly as this fake number is.

Many of these phone calls are made from overseas and therefore do not have to follow the do not call list.

It feels like the sky is falling anyway. I recieved a call from "1-000-000-0000 name unavailable" a few min. I did not answer. No msg left. I am blocking, but it is time to invest in a new blocker. Mine is antiquated. Guessing this is a spoofed number and that multiple spoofers use it. The reason why the callers know your name (some of you) is probably two fold. One they hacked a company you do business with (or not) they then  two, "google stalked" you. (Thanks google) Then they found out your relatives names and used that to try to scam you (some of you say they knew a relatives name) They could probably take it pretty far by using information true or false from lovely data gathering information sites (I won't say the names of the scum sites that help stalkers stalk and scammers scam) windows scam is a crapshoot, then like a previous poster, they called claiming they were Apple after caller said he used Apple. Customer service out of India? Employee steals your info and runs an operation to scam multiple Americans (outsourcing of American jobs) They could actually take it quite far when you think about. Oh, and it seems the rules keep changing. So today maybe they can't hack you through voip, but tomorrow- maybe they can.  I'm always trying to figure it out. Well, because it's constantly......interrupting.....my.....day and is it a miscellaneous scammer or a specific stalker (yeah - have to deal wth one of those too) not fun and those types are vicious aren't they? They are all cut from the same cloth........they lie, cheat, steal, manipulate, throw temper tantrums, and then repeat for what ever reason they feel justified to be crazy. I guess they just keep getting away with it because their pattern is missing a few stitches.

I've had a few calls from this number, once in Dec 2015 . When i asked about it in the Verizon forums the answer was:
❝ If you receive a call on your device from a private or restricted number, your call detail for that call will show all 0's when looking at your usage. When a caller presses *67  to block their cell number from being shown, it will show as 000-000-0000.❞
Don't know if it is the same for other phones or not.  So dont assume ALL calls are from scammers with this number. Some might just be from someone who knows you, like a receptionist using their private phone and doesnt want it called back, as an example.

Phone rang 6 times, I picked it up and it took another 5 seconds for a poorly speaking guy named Dante, who was calling on behalf of some fake Firefighters' Benevolent Association. As the father of a firefighter, I started asking questions he could not answer, jumped his ass, and also let him know that the number he was calling from is current assigned to a political candidate's headquarters in Ellisville, MO. The jack-wad hung up at that point. These [***] need to be retroactively aborted if ever caught...

St Paul MN is Sick of Scammers
robocall on my phone from   000-000-0000  caller ID said "UNKNOWN NAME" on Monday 10-24-16 @  231 A.M. = talked about 11 mins

could not believe a SCAMMER would call at 231AM in the morning. and yes I was up and answered.
SCAMMER with india/hindi accent started to tell me they had been monitoring my computer and they were receiving warnings that my computer was infected with viruses.

(Was probably a further continuation of SCAM calls received on 10/20 from 161-548-9635 and earlier  on 10/21 from 185-469-8789.)
I was still shocked that a SCAMMER would call that early but recovered quickly with my morning coffee and decided to string-him-along.
talked to the Scammer for over 10 minutes and then pummeled him with numerous india/hindi expletives.
He gave some expletives back but I continued with more india/hindi expletives fired right back at him and he bailed around 11 minutes.
Strange how this group of SCAMMERS were quick with expletives while other india/hindi SCAMMERS don't know what to say if anything.

Ok.  Let's just cut the worthless talk and fix the problem forever.  Go buy a phone that lets you block whole area codes, specific ten-digit numbers.  Costs and private incoming numbers .  Costs less than $100.  Yes.  You can even block the low life scum bag with area code 000.    I just did.  At least go set this up for your old parents, grand-parents, etc.

Here's another get-real moment for you.  Asking to be put on do-not-call-list is a joke.  They still call.  Reporting to the ftc feds is even a bigger joke.  They don't do anything but collect their check.  The cops will not help you.  The sheriff will not help you.  The state dept of justice will not help you.

Go get the phone and get on with your life.

Ok, I just looked up the +0000000000 number and a location in Qatar (middle eastern country) popped up. I'm thinking that the fake phone number scammer they use didn't work so their number showed up.instead of the fake one. Just don't answer a number that you don't know. If it's a real call, they'll leave a message and you can call them back. If no message, block the unknown number and wait for the next fake numbered call to come in.
