I have recieved calls from this 0000000000 number every day for 2 weeks and on Sundays inclusive of Easter bank holiday eve at 20.45 hrs!!! Rather indecent I think, from what I can gather it is from a computer... I can only hope someone develops a virus and backloads it to the source and shuts them down at a huge cost. I can't put into writing what I think of this company but not good!

Keep getting hang-up calls when I answer.  Decided to do *69 and pay for it with Cox.  Who are these goofs?  And why are they calling?  I am on the National Do Not Call list.

Oh my god! I can't believe this discussion went on this long! I'll tell you what "000-000-0000" is, it is the combined I.Q. of everyone who doesn't understand this post by FLR:

"If you receive a call from 1-000-000-0000, realize this:  it is a FAKED OUT telephone number (using a technique called SPOOFING).
Anyway, it's not just ONE person/organization calling.  It could be anybody.  Consequently, there's probably not much point in contributing further to the notes for this # in a vain attempt to figure out who it is.
Have the good sense to just NOT answer it and be done with things.  Many people have phone service that allows you to block specific numbers; this would be a good one to add to that list."

End of story! -Thank you FLR.

I just got a call from 1-000-000-0000 and I did not answer but they left a message saying "We are calling to confirm a Dr. apt for you. If you like this service please press 1 if you dont like this service please press 2 and if you have suggestions please press 5. I have changed my phone number 3 times and these calls still keep coming thru..  Were is our government when this crap happens!! Why can't they do anything about this?"

ANYOPNE with friends in ANY security field CAN & Often does, harass anyone they wish, even if the person is random (eg, for 'kicks').

You don't have to be breaking the law, etc.

Imagine being the son of a father/mother that works for the cia, or a police dept.

You would know people who could let you spy/get away with unlimited things.

Don't be naive,...it's happening (just like cops breaking the law for frie4nds, themselves, etc.

I've suddenly begun getting a barrage of 000-000-0000 phone calls. I don't pick up calls from unknown numbers and no message is ever left. Assuming this is a phone scam from things I've read...

1-000-000-0000 Your right, no sense in worrying, I have a Panasonic phone that you can block such unwanted calls. One ring and it notifies me its a blocked call and the other end gets a busy signal. I guess one ring is not such a bad trade off.

I occasionally get the 000-00-0000 numbers showing up on my caller ID or on my cell phone. The guy who called me today sounded like he was driving in a car and had either an Indian or Pakistani accent. He said he wanted to help me to reduce my credit card debt, etc. I could barely understand him. I just kind of chuckled and hung up. Another scamming outfit I am sure. I agree don't pick up these 0000 calls. It's just a waste of time and some scammers trying to hide their identity.

Today at 6:06pm ct, someone called the house and when I looked at the calling ID it said 'Invalid Number" 000-000-0000. Who or what the [***] is that? And, why are they calling my house? I'm REALLY getting tired of Discover and other people or things calling my house! I want it to STOP!

This 000-000-0000 number seems too be a type of "blocked" caller ID. For me it was a Political Call.
When I first received a call fm this "number" I didnt pick it up; then they called again excatally 2 minutes later, and when I didnt answer (again), they left a message.  The message was a recording that asked me to vote for a certain Councilman in the up and coming elections here in New Jersey, USA.  Hope this helps.
