I answered the call from 000-000-0000 this morning. An automated voice came on saying "This is your captain speaking .... " and you have won a cruise .... and complete these 10 automated questions.

Instead of entering 1 or 2 as suggested, I pressed 0 for each of the questions. At the end of the questions an operator came on.
They are company called Answer Solutions. When I asked why they are calling me when I am on the DNC list she they said they would transfer me. I was then transfered to an automated "remove number from call list".
    I hope this removed me.

    I've also lodged a complaint with https://www.lnnte-dncl.gc.ca/plt-cmp-eng

I am told there will be a report on it sometime during the weekend. CNN won't be covering it, though. I heard it's pretty exclusive and keen to a very limited readership.

I got about 40 calls from this company, for almost two years now. All calls are to my mobile phone. At first, I ignored them. Then I very politely explained that they are wasting their time calling 10+ times and requested to be removed -- and was immediately hung up on. I tried that tactic several times, always with similar results.

The next strategy I used was to tell them I'm interested, then to say "Hold on... someone's at the door" and keep them holding as long as I could with various tricks, the idea being that if I waste enough of their time maybe they'll finally remove me from their list. NOTHING works with these people.

I have been googling them for months now and know the following:

    1. Company names they have used:
    Answer Solutions
    Survey Research Center
    surveyclaim.com
    dnstree.info
I believe that NONE of these are legitimate company names.

    2. Agents NEVER tell you their name, and immediately hang up if you ask

    3. Always claiming just to be conducting surveys, but that is transparently not true

    4. Recorded message always begins with a ship's horn and "This is your captain speaking"

    5. It appears to be an American company calling numbers in Canada

    6. Domains are registered on GoDaddy, with information hidden by DomainsByProxy.

Suggestions and recommendations to other victims:

    - contact GoDaddy.com and DomainsByProxy.com and advise their fraud dept that these domains are used by fraudsters who you suspect to be an Islamic terrorist front (something that I now believe to be factually true for various private reasons)

    - when agents call, simply read to them from the Bible -- use a new testament book that is very aggressive, like Romans (talks a lot about sin and repenting and etc)

    - contact both the Canadian Do Not Call list people and the American Do Not Call people so they have hundreds of complaints
    https://www.lnnte-dncl.gc.ca/  (Canada)
    https://www.donotcall.gov/  (USA)

    - write to your local federal govt representative (senator, governor, MLA, MP, Mayor, etc)

    - and above all, WASTE THEIR TIME

    - repost this message all over the Internet

I'm in New Mexico, USA.  I receive 000-000-0000 calls all the time on my personal and business lines.  I have no idea who it is (or who they will claim to be).  I just do not answer.  It's annoying.  And I know it's just another in a long line of scam artists hiding themselves.

I don't agree with the 'what color is your underwear' question, that's unprofessional and saying it to the wrong person can get YOU in trouble.

    Nevermind
Yeah, right. A survey is going to ask what color is your underwear. If that's you, knock it off. Your games are long past funny. And never were. And to think I told you what I did last night. This is your response, to make up bizarre survey questions about the color of one's underwear.

I never should have said anything. Paul, the guy you met at the club (the guy you asked if he had hair roots) told me I live a sheltered life. I guess he's right. I'm pathetic. My disclosure probably even made you laugh. Thanks. Lose my number.

They called everyday and night for about 6 weeks until I was home one day and had the time to get rid of them.  Then I was told I had won 3 tickets to Nassau / bahama's all inc, no credit card needed, and no back account.  They left me a number to call, when I called they said that there would be a small fee of 59.95 each and that I had to go online to see what this cruise was about.  That's what brought up interest in yous, Sue

    harrassment
Since there is really no place for this
I'll use this section of 000-000-0000
because I don't know the number of whose calling me.
    Its so annoying.
    caller ID looks like this:

    ------------
    unavailable

Just a blank unavailable and its so annoying!
I never answer. but I might answer the next time
just to find out who it is. Problem is I've found that people who
Hide their number are basically up to no good.Liars,Scams,Prank calls,Stalkers,Investigators, etc.
Even if answered they Lie about who they are and what they really want.
many times they hang up never saying a word.Whats the point in that?
Or it could be a computer calling. Still SOMEONE Had to Program that computer To Call your number like that. So someone is behind it.

    Today they called:

    unavailable - 11:54 am
    unavailable - 1:54 pm

I did not answer. but Im sure they will call back.

you cannot block the phone number of 1-000-000-0000.  So unfortantely, that is not an option.  Try and block it and you get a message that says the number is invalid, try again...
