This is A VOIP PHone number, I have a number such as this and this is how my provider blocks my outgoing number when  I call someone for privacy reasons. It upsets me that some telemarketers are also using VOIP Call Blocking and that makes it very hard to call a legitmate business as they don't pick up the phone becuase of all the fear mongering about it being a spoofed number. I use Voiceway as my provider.

The annoying fog horn call came from Caribean Cruises the # to get off thier list is
1-800-203-9783.

I CAN'T BELIEVE THAT I HAVBEN'T RECEIVED A CALL FROM THIS NUMBER BEFORE!!!

GOT THE CALL THIS MORNING KNOWING THAT IT WAS A SPOOFED NUMBER.  NO PROBLEM, I HAD A LITTLE TIME TO EFF WITH THEM.

CALLER SAID THAT HE WAS "STEVE" AND WAS "A LICENSED CONTRACTOR IN NORTH HOLLYWOOD."  
I LIVE IN N. HOLLYWOOD AND I AM A LICENSED CONTRACTOR.
I ASKED HIM FOR HIS CONTRACTOR'S LICENSE NUMBER - HE SAID"I DON'T KNOW" AND THEN HE HUNG UP.
I RECENTLY BOUGHT A PANASONIC PHONE THAT BLOCKS UNWANTED PHONE NUMBERS.
THEY ARE NOW ON THE LIST!!

why the hell would u even pick up on a number u don't recognize. MORAN. how fuc.... easy is that.

Nice try and it might make you feel good, but all you're doing by answering the phone is validating that the number is a good number.  

Telephone equipment used to dial numbers automatically (very few telemarketers pay their callers to actually dial phones directly anymore, they use a system known as CATI) knows by the signal tones it receives whether the number is good.  If you break the ring by answering the call and don't hang up, it just tells the equipment that the phone was answered and the machine will continue to call.  

Not hanging up doesn't cost them much at all.  Most of these places get extreme rates on their phone calls.  Most times less than one cent a minute.  

Yes, you are holding up their employee but they're not losing much time from doing their jobs as the system is already dialing other numbers and dispatching answered calls to a caller attendant automatically.

But it is a nice feeling to f' with them, so sure, I say keep doing it.

How do I know?  I work in the call center business.

Told them as a Wisconsin DNC and NoCall registrant the law requires this call to be reported as a violation.  Telephone number given me is 651 999 0249 which is the Mankato, MN operation for FLS Connect.  Google this company and find the Republican expenditures.  No client cost figures are shown so we do not know the amount of money that actually gets to the Republicans.

I have been receiving calls from this number and finally answered the phone. They were asking for donations to Scott Walker of Wisconsin. I asked them who they were and they said FLS Connect calling on behalf of Scott Walker of Wisconsin. I asked where they were calling from and they said St. Cloud, MN. I asked them simple political questions. They were unable to answer any questions. A simple as who is the current Female State Senate Majority Leader of MN. They paused, asked around while I stood by listening and then gave me some guys name. I will not give a dime to this organization. I would advise anyone else be very careful about these calls. The also guaranteed that 110% of the money would go to help Governor Scott Walker. I asked them who was contributing the other 10%. What a Joke.

I have been receiving calls from 000-000-0000 lately and today they finally left a voicemail. The woman spoke SPANISH! I have no idea what was said since I don't know Spanish!  I never answer my cell when I don't know the number. If they really need me, they can leave a voicemail WITH a call back number.

Every week day, twice a day, I get a call from 1-000-000-0000. I answered once or twice but there was no one on the line so I ignore it now. How can someone find out who is using this number? A search always says area code 000 does not exist......what is one to do??

By the way, I am Canadian!!

We have been getting 2-3 calls per day from this #.  Usually they hang up when we pick up  the line.

Me thinks it ain't the feds but criminals to see if than use a dormant phone line for illegal activities.

I've been receiving prank phone calls for over fifteen years.  They were constant in the first fifteen years then stopped for a few years until today.

I answered and claimed I was who they wanted to speak with.  Then they asked for my mailing address so they could send me $1000 in cash.  It worked!  I'll get rich this way!

and international calls look weird like 42-234-43324-55(not exactly like that but you get the idea) not the (555)555-5555 format used in the U.S.

It is annoying to receive this call from 000-000-0000! When you answer, its will disconnect!
There is no need for these calls! STOP THESE CALLS! BLOCK THESE CALLS FROM GOING OUT! IF I TRY TO RETURN THIS CALL THE PHONE CO. WILL PROHIBIT THE CALL FROM GOING THROUGH! WITH MESSAGE, THIS IS NOT A WORKING NUMBER!

I received a call from a number (000000) and it said " this is a contect service, To receive a chargable call from ( rachel ) press 1, i had no credit on my cellular phone at the time but i excepted the call, and it went through, it was a girl who lived in my town but her name wasnt rachel. Ever since ive been receiving texts from my service provider saying, sorry you do not have enoth credit to receive a chargable text service " ect, HELP!!! what the hell is this?
