I got the same exact call that you did.  These people have called me 3 times in the last two weeks.  Is there any way someone can find out who these people and stop them from calling?

I've been getting texts from this number to my cell phone. They use my name in the context of Star Wars dialogue... O.o. i.e. "Jules, I am your Father". I'm assuming it's someone I know, but does anyone know if it's possible to make your phone number appear like that?

I accidentally picked up without looking.  Sounded like a boiler room of people and I quickly hung up.

You can't add this number to a block caller list from your caller service!

I just received one of these calls from 123-456-7890. The male on the other end said it was regarding error messages sent via Windows. I was curious knowing this couldn't be real, but still wanted to gather more info. I listened and followed his directions without giving him any information until----- I was directed to go to teamviewer.com.

I asked him why should  I go to that site and he replied so the "technical technicians" could then remove the viruses from my laptop. I told him that I don't allow anyone to just go into my computer. He very kindly offered to stay on the phone with me so I would be more comfortable. I told him that I wasn't comfortable with him and how was that going to make me more comfortable period.

I told him that if I had a problem I could go directly to Microsoft. He said that Microsoft would charge so much money for the removal. The kicker was I asked him why "teamviewer"  would be doing this service for free and at least I would know that I was talking to a reputable company with a real phone number. Well surprise!! He hung up on me.....  I did have the jerk on the phone for 20 plus minutes so at least some of their time was wasted. I on the other hand, had quite a fun time while they stumbled for answers!! I have now had 10 calls in the last 2 days from this number tonight for the third time I answered it, some person calling from  India told me I have to turn on my computer because they have to remove a virus from it I responded by telling them I knew it was a scam and I was reporting them. They refused to identify who they were and hung up on me. If you get a call from them please report it to the following website

they told me that they were in brookln new york, but judging by the accent they were from india. definataly a scam

He wanted me to access my computer because it was sending out some sort of message re viruses.

A woman told me that my computer has been infected over the past few weeks and it would crash in a day unless I followed the directions she gave me. She said she works for windows and that my computer has been sending messages to them. I asked her if her services would be free, she said, no. So I hung up!! I believe she would have taken my card information and drained my account.

You can just tell them that you're on the DNC list, even if you're not - it freaks them right out XD

So I am not the only one to receive a call from 1234567790!  I was quite surprised to hear my talking phone read off the numbers.  I did say Hello but there was no response.  Thanks to those who posted messages.

I have a way to have fun with this nuisance. Answer the call, and say: Well, that sounds interesting but do YOU use this service? Do you like it? Well, now I KNOW that liers exist. This way they will probably hang up on you. Or after that you can just say the words Huh? and What? Over and over. That's how my step-sister used to play with Telemarketers.

1-234-456-7890 called and I answered and asked him to hold, I would be rigth back, left the phone off the hook for 10 minutes never called back

Got a call today from 123-456-7890....no one on other end, but now do I have to worry about my number being hyjacked?????

They are forging/spoofing the caller id system.

Best to just use a form of "Selective Caller ID Blocking" if your phone service offers it.

(Hint, some numbers are longer than the standard format.  Just use the Caller ID Blocking service to block the last number that called immediately after receiving the offending call.

These guys are basically thieves and crooks.  Don't bother "asking" to be removed from their list.  Just tell them you don't own a computer.   The only reason they try this scam is that some people fall for it.  And they're thieves.

Not getting calls, but rather text messages from this number.  Called my local carrier and they said nothing they can do unless there's a police report.  She said I can reply to the text just saying 'STOP'.  Tried that, text failed to go through

i agree web and survey r where ppl r getting you info and another thing is to just dont answer
