They called saying that I won a $200 Gas voucher, that my number was chosen.  Press one if interested.

This takes you to Hadji the telemarkter from Jhunjhunu India, or maybe it was Kadugannawa Sri Lanka? I don't know but can tell he is from either place by his accent and poor English.  They want you to buy something, a 10 day trial... at this point I ended the call. If I want to buy something, I go to the store.

I didn't not pick up this number, any number that doesn't start with 301, 202, or 240 o don't answer. According to these comments, it seems like a telemarketer, or advertiser.

Got a call from 201 200-9999 this morning at 8:30 AM. Man with a heavy indian accent and told me my phone number had been selected to win a $200 free gas card and he really wanted to help me save my hard earned money. He would be sending me a package to explain everything and just wanted to confirm my address. I did give him my address, (very stupid) and then he told me I would only have to pay a $2 shipping fee and asked if that would be okay. I told him sure but I was not giving any cc# over the phone and asked him how it was going to bepaid. He then sprelled some words that I could not understand but the jest was that it was very secure and he understood that I didn't to give my cc # over the phone but I had nothing to worry about and any plastic card number would work. How stupid do these guys think we are. Thats when I said no thank you and hung up. I then went to the internet and entered the number he called from and got this site. Boy am I glad I hung up. I just hope they don't keep calling back as appears to be the case in so many of the posts.

I don't answer any call that doesn't have both name and number come up on ID.
This number never leaves a message, but they stay on the line with voicemail for a moment, like they don't realize. You can hear a 'call center' atmosphere in the backround. Sounds like a room of people talking on the phone.

I was misguided by many people in past. So, I am quite experienced to recognize the fake people. Somewhere we found a bit of truth in the words of the boy and he really made my computer fast and if we say about documents. I stayed in front of the computer for a longtime while they worked on it. And I never
noticed any of those hacking actions. And let me tell you that I took each and every details about the company first, because I knew that what to do if anything goes wrong...

They called telling me I had a glitch on my computer that needed repairs. For $109.00 a tech. would fix it and give me a systems warranty for 1 full year for that price. They were insistant with broken English. I asked several times who they were with and each time they mumbled to the point in their Indian accent that I told them NO!!!!!!

Had Indian lady named Angela ring up saying my computer could be downloading malicious files from the internet. They say they're registered with microsoft. this is not the case. Told me she would get me connected to a technician, to help remove any errors.  DO NOT let them have access to your pcs as, they want to gain access to the following-: transfer, delete or copy your files & folders. Just tell them to leave you alone & hang up.
They will try to call back. Google the company name ( iFixo ).  You will quite surprised what you will read.

Got a call from indian guy saying I had spyware and malware on my computer and he was going to show me how to clean it up. When I asked how we got my number he kept avoiding question telling me that he was from microsoft and they know that I was using XP. Yet again I asked how did he get my cell phone number since it had nothing to do with my computer he told me he got it from some survey for microsoft that i never took. So I politely told him to f**k off and hung up.

I received calls from this number several times.  The caller id has New Jersey as the caller. I don't answer when they call.  Looks like it's a good thing.  I like to 'play' with people when they are the nuisance calls, but don't have the time right now.

i have just been rung up by a company called IFIXO too. he was trying to tell me that my computer was full of viruses and is trying to sell me virus protection for £89. he had a strong indian accent and seemed to get the phonetic alphabet wrong. he also seemed to know a lot about my system and then put me on a program which let him view my system ( a lot like teamviewer). i have just rung up now to see what number it is but it says they dont have a number to return the call. im quite scared as they knew that my mum has a debit card, i am 15 years old. please help, its only after i have decided to trace this phonecall and he is expected to ring back in an hour and a half. this is the website   http://www.ifixo.com/#
