This heavily accented male first asked to speak to our 9yr old daughter (by name !!) ,, and then once my wife rejected his request he began to describe how he was going to SEXUALY VIOLATE them both..... this happens about 1 or 2times per week and others can always be heard in the background seemingly having their own conversations

FREE, local and long distance in the US and Canada.............and a block number feature............its not for every one but it is AWESOME!  just listened to 2min msg [she thought i would pick up] of background chatter from an obviously foreign call center
[multiple voices sending  out this crap. this caller is now PERMANENTLY blocked [unless I allow it] and they will automatically get " this number is disconnected " message. They will never bother you again............BONUS: scammer idiots like this dont sell disconnected numbers to other scammer idiots!![ there is no money in it AND if they do you can block the new one too]

My 1st clue it was a scam........ Uhh, when the guys voice sounded as if he was trying to sell me an Iciee at 7-11.

I just received a call on my cell phone from a person who identified herself as being from the federal grants department???? I listened to her for a couple of minutes to see what the call was about and quickly realized that this person was a scammer. When I asked her to tell me again where she worked she repeated the Federal Grant agency story. I asked her what Federal Department that this agency fell under and suddenly she was no longer on the line. Bottom line if you receive a call from someone with a story about a grant of money from the federal government that you have not applied for be suspicious. The number on my cell phone was (202) 000-1111. I have just received a few calls just about the same thing I have 3 kids and the person on the phone said he knew where I lived... what do I do about this??

Friends just wanted to warned u of a new scam the number is: -->> (202) 000-1111 /or -->> (203) 923-4781 four times these people have call me leave no messaged at all and this is the 5th call and I picked up this men with a heavy thick accent ask me if I am Maria and a course I did not say nothing and he say his is calling from the United State of America and that the government can help me and that the government is giving away $9,000.00 and that my name and number was entered and selected and I am able to receive $9,000.00 and I responded do NOT [***] call me no more NOT interested in what u have to say & or offer me and if u do NOT stop calling me I will report your name & number to the State Attorney General .... plz friends remember its a new year and the scammers are hungry for your hard information DO NOT, DO NOT feed into it just remember " if its to good its NOT good " be careful out there its NOT worth it and u don't know the number do NOT pick it up cause while u do and listen to their [***] they are down loading your information and stealing anything u have in your cell phones ...  !!!

I also received the phone call on my cellular, I was granted $8k from the US Gov., I hung up after a few questions.  

I GOT A call on saturday jan 4 2014 stating that they were federal government in washington dc and that i got a grant for 7,000 dollars but would have to go to a money gram and pay 200.00 so they could process the $ and not to tell them what the money was for so i wouldnt have to pay expenses for getting the 7,000 dollar grant---bunch of bull [***]---money is not free---big scam and couldnt even understand what they were saying--thick accents

I got that phone call it was a woman with an accent they called me by my last name and I just said who's this and she hung up

got a call from 202 0001111 on Dec 19 at 617 pm.  Didnt hear message, but did hear some people laughing in the background.  Maybe they ha made a buck and were drunk, celebrating.   I would bet that if any number is spoofed, not this one because never heard of  a 000 number.  

Thanks, Chris for listing these numbers.   If  NSA would spend 1 /1000 of their money  getting rid of scammers just think what they could do.    Take unquestionably bogus phone solicitation numbers and use their mojo on them.    We wish.  LMAO l

That's one of the best reples.   A friend has another good one.  He just say, well, like to talk to you but we're sitting down for dinner.  If you'll give  your name and number I'll call you back right after dinner.  :-)

How about, "We're not interested in your filthy scam now or any other time" following by a loud whistle and a hefty slamming down of the phone.

I have been getting calls from this number for the past few days. They accidentally left a voicemail today...the guy had an accent (deep masculine voice) and kept laughing at a TV or something and kept saying "Oh, so funny."  It sounded like his brain cells were fried and he sounded like a creeper which seems to be true considering the weird things he has said to some of you....needless to say, definitely spam so never answer.

They called from the federal govt saying they have a grant in the amount of $7000 for me. I just wish they would stop calling.

Don't do it cause they want to know who you really are to do back groud checks and other things like where you live or your friends or familly with a frugitive or escaped convict that's what my cousin has told me cause she's a police dispatcher at LAPD. SORRY FOR THE RUNON SENTENCE HATE USING PERIODS :)

Just got a call from 202-000-1111 saying I was selected to receive $7,000 in grant money. Lots of people talking in the background (boiler room?). Wanted my credit card number so they could deposit the funds to it. She couldn't even speak english!

somebody call me from the same number  about 5minutes ago saying  that I won 7000 and he ask me do I have a bank  account I said no  and I hung up
