- Call hater replies to Scorpion~Wrong, me bucko.
The call came from "Washington DC", and for the record was sent by the filthy Repukeian committee, and refuses to keep calling like the harassing idiots they are! - MEGACalls keep coming in, robo-survey crap, no way to unsubscribe or stop that damned harassment.
- Caller: Child molesters.
- Call type: Telemarketer
- SusanDid not answer call as we did not know the caller. When we tried to call back caller, got a recorded message that call could not be completed at this time. Probably a scam or telemarketer. We are on the Do Not Call Registry.
- Caller: Jackson Hattie
- Donald DuckA few minutes before Hattie Jackson called me, I got a call from someone asking me to vote for Mitch McConnell in the primary. I just hung up on the woman after telling her to take me off her list. Then I got this call. When I call the # back the first time the line was busy. Then there is a message saying the application is not available. Our primary is tomorrow. This is the RNC or it is Mitch McConnell's people. That is just a guess, but Donald Duck gets around.
- ichy7| 2 repliesI, like the rest of you, receive these calls all the time. Our government is WORTHLESS, especially when it comes to blocking these calls. Your only other course of action is this:
Do NOT, under any circumstances, answer a caller you do not recognize. When you do, all you are doing is confirming for them is that they have reached a viable, working number and then they WILL call you back PLUS they will sell your number to other scam artists so they can call you too. If they continue to call then first, check with your phone service and see if they have a call blocker service (mine does). If I continue to receive calls from a certain number then it goes onto my "Blocked" list.
Also, just pressing 1 or any number they say to remove you from their list is also a scam. It doesn't work either. Also, I turn off my answering machine when I am home. If it answers them, then once again it only confirms the fact that they have indeed reached a "Working" number and they WILL continue to call you. Have a pleasant day. Sure am glad too for websites like this.
Thought for the day: I Wonder what would happen if everyone stopped answering these calls. IF they got no more answers then would they just give up and die ?
I will add that by using these tactics, there are days now when I have NO MORE phone calls from scammers! Only had one in the last three days now. Please folks, don't answer these phone calls. Use your caller ID's.- Caller: poltical fund raiser

- jacksays replies to jiminorlandoactually, obama has issued 191 (100 less than Bush II's 291 and many, many less than the 3k made by FDR. Google is your friend.
- JonesiePhonies. Will say that they are any party to get money from you
- AvaAutomated message asking us to vote for Pat Roberts (KS) in the upcoming elections.
- Call type: Political call
- Johny-UtahJust combing through my blocked number list to possibly edit out a few, as I'm almost maxed out at my measly 25 limit with Comcast..... Despite having blocked this number over a month ago, according to my "missed call" log these relentless [***] continue calling constantly. And no my phone doesn't ring - call blocking is working. It's just puzzles me why they keep calling my blocked number?
Here's another persistent repeat caller that's been blocked since August 1, 2014, now it's 2 months later and they continue calling 2-3 times a week. Amazing! 866-684-4648- Caller: Anonymous
- try reading replies to DwightYou should actually try reading what the DNC covers before you spout off about how useless it is. Political calls are not covered, unfortunately. Don't blame the DNC for what the hacks (either flavor) in Washington do or won't do.
- Political (lying) season is upon us| 2 repliesPolitical hacks from the GOP again. Will probably last until we get the next victim as president. I'm sure both parties do the robo call thing but we certainly get more Republican and teabagger crap than Demos. Thought it was because my wife was registered as republican back when it was a good party to support be we have long since gone undeclared and the number they called today is in my name. Don't think there is a solution to be had, neither party has the guts to take a serious run at campaign reform.

- another dufus replies to ichy7"Our government is WORTHLESS, especially when it comes to blocking these calls." DNC doesn't cover political calls, don't blame the government, blame the Repubes and Demos who mismanage the govt but don't represent it..
"Do NOT, under any circumstances, answer a caller you do not recognize."
Not really feasible if you have an online answering machine. The robo callers don't use a list of people, they use a list of sequential numbers so not sure letting it ring is the answer.
"Also, just pressing 1 or any number the to remove you from their list is also a scam."
see above.
" Also, I turn off my answering machine when I am home. If it answers them, then once again it only confirms the fact that they have indeed reached a "Working" number and they WILL continue to call you."
also see above.
"I will add that by using these tactics, there are days now when I have NO MORE phone calls from scammers!"
I pick up and hang up immediately, only getting a couple of calls per week now. I expect to get more now that the biggest loser contest in Washington is starting up.
"Please folks, don't answer these phone calls."
Not gonna let it ring

more - AzureBlueI got a call from this number this morning at 11:28. The caller ID read Jackson Hattie. Thinking that it was a legitimate telephone call, I answered. When I answered, a pre-recorded message began playing warning me about a senator. I did not listen to the entire message. I just hung up.

Not sure how a post identifying the caller and opining on who else might be using this method constitutes "political crap". If so, by all means, block my made up name. - You are half right replies to ichy7From the Consumers Union website:
"As soon as hear a robocall, hang up the phone and do not press any buttons – pressing a button just verifies to the caller that the number goes to a real person, and you will get more robocalls." - yamDon't know which scam type this is - perhaps the IRS scam folks? Have the entire area code blocked, since it seems to be sooooooo popular with the scammers.
- Caller: slime calling
- SwenMe thinks that these are bozo scammers pretending to be representing political parities. The scams are pretty diverse, and cover the whole range of possibility. Although very infrequently, we get calls from actual charities, most of the charity calls, are actually scam calls. The scammers seem to LOVE using the 202 area code. The IRS scammers are now using the 202 area code for their evil purposes.
