I've received calls on my home line from this number at various times every day for a week, but no one ever says anything, live or robo. There's a pause, then a hangup to dial tone, and I'm mad as hell.  I don't care if it's the RNC or DNC, an individual, a Martian or a robot, these calls mess with my life and I'm frustrated there's no way to stop it.  Things are stressful enough without this crap on top of all the other unwanted political intrusions.

There IS a way to stop it. Get a phone or phone service that permits phone number blocking. Try Ooma (VoIP service). Rated number one phone service in the country by Consumer Reports, costs only $10 a month, and allows number blocking among it's many features. Been using it for years and I love it.

I have been receiving multiple calls a day from this person who never leaves a message.  I also receive at least 3 calls a day from various Republican party entities - RNC, Republican Party of Florida, Mitt Romney for President, to name a few.  Is telephone harrassment the new way to "get out the vote"?  Extremely annoying!!

I have gotten this call from this number more than once.   I have also gotten over 300,yes 300 calls since DECEMBER 2011 for telemarketers,politicians etc.    I can only block 30 numbers.    I also traced a call under Vision Telecom to Pakistan of all places.   I had filed the numbers with the Attorney General of Nevada.  They can't do anything.  No one can do anything about this crap.     I got a call yesterday twice looking for a "Charles".  Told the woman, no Charles here.   Today I got a political survey asking for Charles.  I got the name out of him.   Charles Sorrells?  Ring a bell for anybody???  I have no idea who he is.  Can't wait for the election to be OVER.   I am so over the political calls and ads!   The above number is also Political.

Oh hell - no more executive orders  - The Bro Obama has already issued 953 Excutitive orders - more than all presidents combined in the hostory of the United States.

I recorded a fax machine tone on my hand held digital recorder.  I recorded the fax tone on my phone answering  machine and let it record and it is the full 2 minutes of the recording that picks up when someone calls.  The Robo dailers hang up right away, and so do the physical callers. I'm down to one or two stray calls a week now.  I also did the same thing by recording and putting the message of "the number you have reached is not in servcie at this time if you feel you have reached this message in error hang up and try again"  THe caller will take you off their list if they get this meaasge 2 or 3 times.

Robo call from survey something or other.  Hung up.  Apparently, DC still has enough power for this BS, even in the middle of Hurricane Sandy!

It is from  Study America, they call me 2-3 times a week to poll my voting habits.  I make up a different  scenerio every time.   I never choose anything correctly.   I have tried to call the 866-960-8263 number  and this number back to get taken off the call list but you can't reach anyone.

Called during dinner as mentioned. ID in NJ,Hattie Jackson. Don't answer call unless I know caller .If its important they should leave a message.

Vote them all out.  Then ask the new brats to make political robo calls illegal -- and get on with arresting scam phone callers.  Oh ... work.

Don't believe anything from snopes either.  They are not the most reliable especially when it comes to Dem/Liberal info...They take sides....

caller is robo-calling me for Republican candidate.  Probably active with both parties.

That doesn't work very well, because telemarketers keep changing their numbers.

I got this call a couple of times recently. I think it's from the Democratic Party. We're having a special election to Congress, and the last time I voted in a primary, it was the Democratic primary, because that was the only one in which there was a contested race. When I vote in a Republican primary, I get calls from the GOP.

Caller ID said Jackson, Hattie. I did not pick up. Same call came again, about an hour later. BLOCKED.  Grrrr.

Call to area code 605 land line.   Caller ID name read "WASHINGTON   DC".     Disconnected call without answering and will block number.    I'm guessing that it was some sort of political call -- real or scam, I don't know.    I do think the majority of the political sounding calls that I receive are really supporting the candidate/cause stated about as much as Heather or Rachel or John are really giving me my final notice to really lower my credit card interest rates.      

I did try calling the number back after blocking my outgoing caller ID info and all I got was a recording that said "I'm sorry the application you are trying to reach is unavailable at this time."    Whatever that may mean.
