Same thing just happened to me except managers name is Patrick Cooks. I told him cash! Lol. Then googled number as soon as I got off the phone with him! Gvmt wants to give me money for nothin? LMFAO!!  Yeah, right?

Someone from this number has been calling my cell #; I could not understand the name nor the company; I tried to call back and was told that this # is not a good #; the guy told me that I would get $7000 in government grant; and I asked why, and was told that they did a survey in our area; and that they were looking for 15 people who did not file for bankruptcy within the last 7 years.  I am working in a law firm, and was about to tell him to call me on my landline - I figured it would be easier to trace the call, but he hung up on me.

This is a scam that pretends that you have won a Goverment grant of $7000 and they offer 4 ways to collect the money 1. bank account 2 MasterCard 3 Visa 4 Internal Cash?? You will never get any money from them because they are just going to scam you out of your money by asking for a fee to send you the grant. As you read above, the next thing they will want is to have you pay tax on the Grant .... and grants are not generally taxable...but they are idots trying to get you for all they can get.

Had the same thing happen 20 mins ago and I reported to the Department of Health and Human Services. I told the guy I don't believe him and that I was going to call the FBI. He got scared....

These son of [***] called again today . I didnt answer it . it s like who  are these ppl trying to rip off ppl from  their money . Its like you guys get a real job and stop scamming ppl  out their money

Just got this call today .I didnt answer it  cuz i know its  a scam . Those son of [***] !!! They need to be stop in their tracks before they  scam someone else . Who ever they are get a real job and and work in a place like Wal-Mart or Mcdees for  a  change !!!! Stop calling ppl to scam !!!!

They are a gang of homosexuals and con men trying to get people that are greedy enough to fall for a stupid scam to pay them handling fees. I have reported them to the federal trade commission.

I have been getting several call from this phone number congratulating me on being a recipient of government grant and then to give them my bank account or debit card number...,, UNBELIEVABLE!!!

yep just received the same type of call..I remembered dateline airing a similar story just a little while ago..the guy with the heavy hardly understandable Indian accent..same story again and again..just as every one else here before reported ...feeling stupid staying on the phone so long knowing this story wasn't right...but saying no to grant money didn't come that easy...I did give him my address..refused to give bank or credit info...refused to tell my age..he insisted I call his manager Paul Jefferson right after hanging up with him at 202-407-9787..instead did a google and I'm glad to find your story's here..the guy sounds really innocent..I didn't know that even being so aware of the bs going on ...I was still being drawn into this sticky conversation...seeing the date of the reports on this site about this scam ..this has been going on for years..what's the use of reporting this to the authorities...obviously nothing has stopped these scammers ..yet..

I received call today from 202-407-9056. Spoke with a "Jack Travis". His accent was so bad I could hardly understand him. He got pissed when I asked him if he was an U.S. citizen!!! Gave me another number: 202-407-9787 to call at my convenience to collect 7 grand. I started laughing,  he asked if I was crazy and why I was laughing. Idiots. Oh and the last number I'm supposed to ask for "Paul Jefferson" for details on how to receive the money. Huh uh!!! Haven't called, but just might to see what is offered and have police pick it up!!!! Jokes on them!

Hmm, these phone numbers do not recieve call backs, they must be running fast

A foreigner (Muslim/Indian decent) called stating she was from US Govt and I have been randomly chosen to receive $7,000.00 in FREE money. I do not have to pay this money back. I was randomly choose n from a dec 2012 survey I completed. That I have paid my taxes and how would I like to receive my money? I could get cash or credit card. She hung up on me after a few choice words.,I was never told I had to pay anything.

I received the same call multiple times this week. I saved the number in my phone book under the name Fraud Wash DC and set the ringtone for that contact to silent so anytime they call back I wont know about it unless I actually look at the call history. Easy peasy lemon squeezy:)

I recieved a call from "Harry Anderson" he informed me that I had a 7000 grant. I let him go through his spill only to tell him I knew that this was a scam and to never all me again. He hung up on me.. Wonder why?? Lol!!

BLOCK THEIR NUMBERS! That's what I did. All smart phones have an option to block a number if you send it a text message. They will not be able to call you anymore.

I continue to get this call on my cell.12024079056..what can I do?

I call these people mud hut parasites  ツ

Got a few calls from this number never picked up and they never left a message.  I also have no intention of picking up.
