I wanted 9k for drugs.😠

I received a call on my cell from 1-202-407-9056 (which says on id was from DC-USA stating I had been awarded a grant of $9000. Said they were from a US Government Dept. However, the person could barely speak English and I could hear someone in the background telling her what to say.   Got disconnected and the return call  was from 416-364-1111 (Ontario, Canada).  Was given a confirmation number and ask to call their boss at 347-573-9347 which is
New York.  When I called that number told them felt this was a scam and would not give them anymore information.  Was immediately hung up on.

I get calls every. day from. 2 02_407_9056 i don't answer. i reject. there call then they call back with another. number. the number. 2 how can the call. with a single. diget

I get calls from the above number just about everyday, the caller mumbles something and hangs up or they hang up before I pick up.  Please stop these people from call me.

Well... We didn't look it up. And we have been taken for a ride. We are stunned as to how blind we were. My mother had been applying for government loans in the last 2 weeks and we thought it was FINALLY in reply to one of them. Looking back, the signs were very obvious. I guess we just really wanted to believe it. We are now out of a LOT of money. Money that we did not have, really, to be out of. Did any of you ever find resolve and get any of your money back? How have we not burned these people by now? They are using Washington D.C. numbers... They claim to be our governement... Our IRS. Feels like a terrorist attack to me. They pose under Federal Reserve Bank and American Grants.

I do not like getting calls from this number, I do not know who they are and I am NOT interested in any loans of any kind.

I keep receiving a call from this number.  I never answer.

ive received several calls from this # also.  I called the FBI around 4-6 weeks ago and reported these people and the calls stopped for a while and then today I got another call from this #. its more than just 1 person doing this because the indian accent guy gave me a cell number to call back and an American man freaked out wanting to know how I got his # and then he started in with the whole grant thing. maybe if everyone will call the FBI maybe it will help put a stop to these calls.

I got a call today from that number 2024079056.. Mr caller ID it says it is coming from District of Columbia... the person was very rude did not want to give me their name... So I hung up...

So they have called 4-5 times over a 6 month period. Each time they go through their story about how since I filed my taxes on time and have not filed bankruptcy the government picked 1700 folks to get free money that was not necessary to be repair. They said I was to get 9000.00. Each time they call its a different amount. I knew in advance it was a SCAM. So I played along. They wanted to verify information like address, name, DOB, etc. I have them false information. Of course they claimed that matched their records. Stupid [***]. They said I could give them my bank account number and they would put the money directly into my account. Right.......... Or they could put it on a Mastercard or Visa. Right............ Or I could go to Western Union location and get cash for a handling fee. Right..................I could hear dozens of voices in a call center. They man had a heavy Indian accent and had to repeat things multiple times. Finally they put me on the phone with a supervisor that would walk me through the process of going to Western Union, give them a 'code' to collect my money. They code would be their account number for the fee. Once their, one of their folks would get on the phone to handle the instructions which means they would tell them to take your money.
Dont fall for these SCAMS. F*CK the Indian call centers.
I played along to waste their time until I finally told them while I had them on the line I pulled up their number and read off information about their SCAM. You will likely be surprised but they actually hung up on me? Wha??????? :-)

Just got the same call from Joel Lambert who had Heavy Indian accent. Call ID 202-407-9056 wanted personal info. I told him no way. He then gave me his Sr. Manager, "Paul Jefferson's number 347-573-9347 to call and arrange a western union transfer of ($9000) because I have always paid my bills, have a good credit history with the government. Definitely a scam artist!

202-407-9056.  Heavy African accent, no coherent message, rude, insulting and profane callers.  Must be stopped.

I got a call from this number, they said they were with the federal government and I always paid my taxes on time they were going to send 9,000 dollars grant, I checked and this is a scam.

keep getting a call from this damn number and clearly its a scam how do I report these people to the government?

I recieved a called from this number saying I will received a 9000.00 grant from the US government and I told the caller that I had already spoken with the US government and they had already informed with that you all are a scammed the called tried to convinced me that the info I had received was wrong. So I lied and told him that I owed the government so why would I quailfy to received grant money from them so can he please removed my number form their calling list. The caller said sorry and hung up

i had the same thing happen to me 202-621-0436 Mathew. i WAS to western union 600 dollars to him to receive a government grant of $7000 for use on anything i wished!  Granted he was Indian too, working for the us government (fishy)? i never sent the 600 cause if it was legitimate he could send me something through the mail as i requested. Now i am receiving emails from the FBI that states as follows....
This is to inform you that we are monitoring your draft which was stopped by the CIA with respect to an Anti-Terrorist Certificate. I wish to also inform you that i am aware the certificate costs $600 and you were directed to Elizabeth Storbo to get the certificate for you. She is a trusted person and will get the certificate as soon as you send her the money. You can go ahead and work with her. The CIA is asking for the certificate for documentation purposes since a large sum of money is coming to you.  It is a standard procedure by them to make sure people do not fund terrorists.

We advice that you send the $600 to Elizabeth as soon as possible as there is a time constraint on the submission of the certificate to the CIA. We do not want you to lose your funds

I am shocked that the FBI and CIA are so thoughtful of me! jk. So i contacted the FBI on this matter since their name is involved. Still i do not think this is legitimate!!!!
