Received just such a call this afternoon. Curious, I asked for the registered name of this company and the caller just kept saying "pain center". I asked for the name of the owner/operator and was told they are not allowed to give me that information. Ha!  Has anyone contacted the Connecticut Attorney General's office? Just curious.

I am on the do not call register and have been for several years!  At 4:12 pm on 10/14/2015 my home landline phone rang.  Numerous complaints logged on google refernce this same calling number.  One writer was rather kind and said "suspected spam."  many other callers were not even close to being that kind with their negative comments using words like like "scam."  and worse.  Suspect this is just another one of those moronic auto robo call!!!!. Regardless, the caller and the number  they show is in direct violation of the do not call register!

Did not answer.  I wonder if most of you commenters are in area code "318" as I am (Louisiana), or if they are calling all over the U.S.

Robocaller left no message as usual just waiting to see if I answered or if a fax would kick in.  The FCC no longer takes complaints regarding the phone scammers who robodial your number then neither leave any message nor talk.  Worse yet, some states such as NJ, no longer take complaints about DNC violations and the roborectums know that thus our elected legislators have given them a blessing to continue annoying us.  Not to mention that when the caller realizes he/she/it has been blocked, they either get a new number to call from or spoof another (sometimes innocent) number.

To make things even worse, all phone providers profit by providing service to these scammers and won’t shut them down as it would be lost income for every phone provider who is aiding and abetting the scammer.

Every phone provider also knows the robo-terrorists are out there just by monitoring the bandwidth they utilize and frequency of calls made from a single source.  We, the recipients, are all victims of this crime and it’s high time to fight back – contact your phone service provider and request to make your number a toll number for incoming calls from any “Out of the Area”, “Unavailable”, “Unknown Name”, “Unknown Number”, 800, 844, 866 or 888 numbers, so when robocallers attack your privacy then they must pay you for your valuable time.  And for paybacks – identify the roboscum by asking them for their address so you can send them a check and then hang up.  Use their mailing address on every postage paid postcard you find in magazines.  On the up side - this will help reduce the USPS debt.

Contact your legislators to stop the robocallers – send them a complaint every time you get a call.  Tell them to stop the scumbags or you will elect someone who will as their inaction helps the nefarious scum.

Also, why not sue the phone providers for their inaction to pull the plug on these phone terrorists?  A fantastic class action suit awaits a great attorney team on this one, because it appears that neither Federal nor State authorities give a damn to protect us and openly permit the phone companies to continually profit from your life being interrupted.

Verizon’s Call Intercept service (a $9.99 per month ransom plus federal and local taxes) limits you to 25 numbers.  So I use a Panasonic KX-TG6844 phone that can block 250 numbers. The cost of $111 paid for itself in a year and I dropped the Verizon intercept service extortion service fee.

Finally, contact the Consumer Union (Consumer Reports) site EndRobocalls.org and sign their petition to pressure the phone companies and lobby the government. It won’t cost you a cent!  BTW, news articles from July 2015 indicate Verizon is going to screw us more during their attempt to deregulate communications services and fees which could cost us more by buying into their anonymous call intercept useless service, etc.  Come to think of it, consider the possibility that these scammers are phone company employees!
