Please stop the calling.

I'm in North West Georgia and got a call from this number.  I answered on the second ring and was hung up on.

I got a call from this number, but it was at my in-laws house (we lived with them while our house was being finished about 5 years ago). He asked for me, by name, and when he was told I didn't live there anymore, he hung up.

This doesn't seem to be a phishing call. It seems to be a mass sales call.

Calls almost every day.  I answered once and call was disconnected.  When I call back I get the message "you've dialed a number that cannot be reached from this special phone" B.S.  VERY ANNOYING.  Anything I can do to stop it?  Someone to report it to?

had a message from this number on 3/4/08 at 3:17 - didn't actually leave a message just hung up - tried calling back and heard message "this number cannot be dialed from this special phone" - this has happened several times so I am filing report with "do not call" people in a few minutes

Caller called today at around 7pm asked for Mrs. B (that's me) offered to send pkg and want me to verify my address.  I send if you know who I am you would have the address.  He then asked for my first name.  I asked him to send it to the Mrs B he called asking for, since I'm the only one at that address.  He says ok [***], and hangs up.

Call was from the Peace Officers Association. I hung up when the guy asked how I was doing.

They asked for my husband by name however hung up before he picked up the phone.  The call was received Sunday night, Mar 30th at 8:43.

I love the guy that answered with "Clayton County Sheriff Office Fraud Unit".  He has probably inspired other frustrated people to do the same!

Constant calls on 3/31/08, every 20 minutes from 205-313-0897, hangs up and I work from home and use this phone and it sucks.  You call that number and it does not go through, so much for the "Do Not Call List"!!

I get a phone call from these people at least once a week and they always hang up when I say hello?

They're "selling car warranties" They dial randomly and make it sound like your car warranty is expiring and try to get you to buy one.

Arrgghh!  They keep calling and hang up every time I answer!!

Got this call while in church service- went outside to answer so the phone would stop ringing-- when I answered to my name --he hung up! I agree with another post--he is some kind of sick-o

Asked for Mrs. (my last name), I said "who's calling?" and they hung up.

I saw the # on caller ID, but did not answer. The caller left no messge. The Caller ID read, Birmingham, AL

Same dirty [***] calling in SE Ga. Asking for Mr. Smith. Their mother should be the one getting the calls. How low can humans get? If you try calling the # back you get a recording saying that they dont take incoming calls. These are the lowest form of humanity.

Gat the call at 2:00 p.m. on 6/1/2008.
He said, "Hello" and called me by name.
When I asked his name, he hung up.
I have reported his number to the FTC's Do Not Call - but that will do little, if any good.

You need to have your comments organized by latest date.

This number is from a campaign for Peace officer's Association of Georgia, the Georgia association of Emergency medical services, and the Texas Association of emergency medical services, according to other websites. Annoying hangups, non-answers, all part of the picture for many of us. Don't waste your time calling back.

Don't contribute, don't be an enabler. If you get them on the phone, tell them you specifically will never contribute to auto dialing phone campaigns. Ask for the caller's home phone number so you can return the call at your convenience, during their dinner time....
