Received a message saying the IRS was filing a lawsuit for back taxes.  I called the number 206-462-5330 he left. Took several calls to get through. He said the taxes were the result of an 2008-2011 audit.  Claimed a certified letter was sent, no one home to receive it and a note was left. The letter returned to them. I asked them to resend or give me the tracking #. He said it was already too late. If we didn't settle the $5220, the police would be sent to our address to make an arrest.

Call from 206 462-5330 on 5/29 saying IRS was filing a law suit - did not call back

I got 2 calls stating that the IRS is filing a lawsuit again me and to call 206-462-5330 to see about the lawsuit claim.
I called the phone number and a man with an accent answered saying Internal Revenue Service and started to ask him about the lawsuit and he hung up on me.

Received a call from 206-462-5330 at 6:30 a.m. Recording stated I was being sued by the IRS and to call back, I didn't. Call made from WA.

Call claiming to be IRS threatening a lawsuit and requesting a call back...did not call back SCAM!!!!

Caller left a message on my land line indicating This is the Internal Revenue Service calling. The Internal Revenue Service is filing a lawsuit against me, for more information on this case file please call 206-462-5330, and then repeated the number. This is a SCAM, the  IRS does not make calls in such a manner, if you owe the IRS money they will notify you via mail and then if they are going to file a tax lien against you this notice will come via certified mail.

I got the scam call tonight.  The IRS will always send certified letters.  We've been in business for 40+ years and we know - NEVER GIVE YOUR INFORMATION OUT TO THESE SCAMMERS.

What do they hope to gain? Please no one give out any information, If the IRS wanted you they would contact you by mail, lets all call the IRS and report this!!!!

The weird thing is that the voice didn't have a foreign accent, but the English was f-d up.  I hope they're not sitting by the phone waiting for my call.  I'm still laughing!

The IRS NEVER calls.  They contact you by mail.

If you know that the IRS doesn't call, why on earth did you call that number???

Yep, I got the same message, but I didn't hear any accent.  She sounded American to me .

Got a call from this number (206) 462-5330.  It was an automated recording stating that it was a call from the IRS and that the IRS was filing a lawsuit against us.  The recording stated that we needed to call the number right away to get more information regarding the case file.  Suspected it was a scam so I googled the phone number and found this site with the same complaints against the caller. I hope the FBI finds these scumbags and locks them up forever.

Got the same message that this was a final notice of the IRS filing a law suit against me. Researched the phone # they wanted me to call 206-462-5330 and its out of Washington State but the number that called me was +20 64 625 330 and is out of Egypt. Not going to reply and I have received NO mail from IRS. Wish this was reported as a scam nationally by news.

Got a call from 206-462-5330 - robo message stating this was a final notice from the IRS. There is a lawsuit pending. Scammers are really getting creative :-)

The recorded information left on my voicemail was exactly what the others said they received.  I turned to the Internet to see if this was a legitimate call and discovered that this is a scam from someone representing themselves as being the IRS.  I will state that it was refreshing to know that this call had no merit.

Got the same VM as everyone else. I dialed *67 then my number to block my number but it kept ringing busy. I hope they don't scare a trusting elderly person into giving them their banking info

I just received the same voice mail.  Looked up they number they left and saw you had the same call from the same number.  Please don't take me away Mr. Policeman.

They will send you a letter but not certified. The notice will come in a standard US treasury envelope,  addressed to your last 1040 mailing address,  regular USPS mail.
