How can you call yourself a Delivery Driver when all you deliver is a card that lies to a person just to make them call a number ??  You are not delivering anything for the person who's front porch you are standing on... you are delivering something for the company who has hired you to deliver the damn cards........

If you are not delivering something requested by or for the person who's property you are on, if you were not invited there by the person, and are there for false pretenses, ... you are trespassing !!  If you come back over and over at different times to see when we are home, I'd think it's criminal trespass!  

If you are delivering a package for the address -- then leave the damn package !  If it's an envelope of coupons, then leave it!

They've sold my number to telemarketing agencies. Got my first call from a f***ing water softener company today.

I just recd this tag and found this thread after a search.  I live in San Antonio and was visited prior to this tag by a super creepy, way aggressive Guardian Alarm sales guy named James Lara.  
This guy is a big weirdo and get very obstaniate when I turned him down.  He came to our door under the pretense of a "no obligation overview" our alarm system that already exists in our new home.  
He did not provide that overview but went on and on with his sales pitch.  He is a very irritating and unsettling guy.  
I also am armed and would not hesistate to defend my home within my rights.  I recommend that anyone in my neighborhood avoid this guy and his company.

Since we moved in a couple of months ago, we have received three door hangers with very vague and anonymous information. It has my name, address, and says "please call to reschedule" San Antonio Metro: 210.515.5276 and Austin Metro: 512.942.6211 and has a confirmation number at the bottom. It says: "delivered by Compass." On the second door hanger (they were always delivered while I was home!) I call the number out of curiosity. The woman who answered was very vague about who she was affiliated with but insisted that I needed to give her the confirmation number so she could tell me what the door hanger was about. I did, and she said that it involved her company (whoever they are) wanting to install a home security system. She said, "Do you have a security system?" I simply told her we were not interested in upgrading our system at this time, and that I would have to talk to my husband about it (we do not have a home security system yet). Then, we left for two weeks for the Christmas holiday. When we returned, our home was broken into, several items were stolen (they cut the seal on a back window) and left through the back door. Two days ago, I received another door hanger (the third), this time on my mailbox. I googled the number for San Antonio that was provided and found this forum as well as several others saying that this was a scam to get personal information. I called the number again today from an anonymous number (in case they had caller ID) and after being on hold was answered by a young African American man named Shane. He said simply, thanks for calling, how may I help you? I said, "Yes, I have received a couple of notifications from your company and was wondering who you are affiliated with?" He then hung up on me! I called back and after a while, he answered again (Shane) and I inquired again, he stumbled around and said that his company was only a courier for 48 other companies and I needed to give him my confirmation number so he can tell me more. I said, I feel a little strange giving you my confirmation number before I know more about your company and who you represent. He said, well, we already have all the information on that card so you might as well give it to me....and continued to menace me into giving him the confirmation number. I said, no thank you, and he just laughed and hung up. I am uncertain as to whether the crime at my home and this strange door hanger business is affiliated, but regardless, I feel unsafe about an unknown and willfully ambiguous party contacting me in this way.

I received one of those door hangers, googled it and came upon this forum.

I for one want to thank "Former Driver" for posting all the inside information he/she did.  If it wasn't for your posts I would have left this forum the same way I got here, full of speculations.  I am also glad you are no longer contributing to such a deceitful practice.

Bought a house and my last name and first intial are on the door hanger left twice so far.  They got my name from public records since I've done zero business in the area until I moved in after the purchase (moved from another state).  "Sorry We Missed You!".....etc. as noted above.  602 314 3383 Phoenix & 520 720 3254 Tucson.

They seem to have moved from the Tx area (Dec. posts) and now targeting the Phx Az area sine we also just got one of these suspicious tags. We are also armed to the teeth, so if the crimes do turn out to be related to the door hangers, there will be some bad guys with holes in them shortly.

Recently purchased a home in North Dallas and received the "Delivered by Compass" door hanger.
Says to call one of the numbers below and provide the confirmation number.

I suspected that it was a scam of some sort and thanks to this forum I know for certain.
Calling the the Dallas number gets you hold music, but a woman eventually answered the phone by saying "Please provide your confirmation ID" but I just hung up since I was researching the door hanger while I was on hold and was reading this forum right when she answered.  
Now that I know people are casing the house, think I'll start leaving my Rottweiler inside the house to greet intruders while im out...

After thinking about it some more, I thought it would be fun to kick up the heat on these clowns.  So I contacted one of the Dallas news stations and gave them all the info and referenced this forum for the experiences others have had.  I suggest that everyone contact their local news stations and provide info, you'd be surprised how determined some reporters are at running down leads.  Sometimes bringing publicity to these con artists gets the most results.   At a minimum you can bet at least 1 news station will track down a call center and ambush managment with questions as they walk in and out.  Turn the tables on them and let them get harrassed for a change.

They left the door hanger in my house "Sorry we miss you, second attempt" They had my last name on the paper and a confirmation number. I call the San Antonio number and when the rep answer, I ask her what was this about. She ask me for the confirmation number, when I give it to her she gave me my wife name and told me it was a welcome home package with a 1,000 worth in coupons and that she needed my email address to send it by email. I told her that I will not give her any info. Then I asked her a welcome package from who? She told me it was from my HOA... then she told me that the HOA have also a contract with a security company that will give me a 1000 for a new home security system for free, and that the only thing I need to do is to get the technician in my house to install it.

I ask her if this was marketing, and she told me "no this is a welcome package from you HOA", I got suspicious and I ask her the name of my HOA and she tried to change the subject again. Then she hang up because I didn't give her any info.

I called my HOA and they told me that all was a lie, that they didn't send anything...

So my wife gave these punks my phone number and of course I'm not loving what I've now found.

So 15 minutes of Google searches later and thanks to public record here is what I dug up on the LLC's these folks are hiding behind.....not sure if they are breaking into houses or not but this is not an acceptable biz practice so here's his public available information for all who would like to personally thank Mr. Willes for his techniques:

I had several left on my door as well. I caught the person doing it when I was coming home followed them tell they finished putting out scams. I followed them home and for a week I put notes on thier door for random stuff. Give to god. Give to earth. Help stop soliciting...... He caught me one day and started yelling at me about leaving all the stuff on his door. I pulled out his scam note and walked away. Vingence is so good!

Found a card on my door. Called thinking it was a delivery service. I am normally more paranoid about stuff like this but I was stupid and gave them my email address. They tried to get me to sign up for a GE security service right then, I told them hell no, that is when I figured out something was not right. I don't know what they are up to But I don't think it is good.

Got the same "sorry we missed you" tag with Dallas and Ft Worth numbers to call. Silly me was racking my brain thinking what package did I order when I ignored answering the door when someone knocked. After reading all this scam posts, now I'm kicking myself in the [***] for calling (and being placed on hold) so they can now have my tel # too.

They log your number when you call and then sell that information to other companies who will harass you with sales calls.  Don't bother calling.

I now have received two of those door hangers, and yeah I tired calling back and no one ever picks up I called tucson & the phoenix number.
We aren't expecting packages and the note doesn't say anything about the company just Delivered by Compass
