- Gibbs| 2 repliesI just bought a home in the north Dallas area. Got this post card from Metro delivery in my mailbox....and it said the same thing everyone else mentioned. The call back no was 214-393-9195. My instincts told me it was a scam so I googled it and found these discussions. Makes me very uneasy.
- Help Stop Tom replies to Gibbs| 1 replyI'm always amazed at the creative ways that these Home Security Alarm dealers attempt to "trick" people into buying a "free" monitored, alarm. They've been using unlawful telemarketing: pre-recorded calls, false caller ID, calls to wireless numbers, but now seem to be trying this new method of fake delivery notices. Clever, and probably illegal (in TX).
There are two sites dedicated to stopping these guys:
Facebook: facebook.com/helpstoptom
Blog: stoptomwithhomeprotection.wordpress.com
PLEASE POST OR EMAIL A PIC OF THIS "COMPASS DELIVERY" CARD. This type of information could greatly enhance our efforts to get these individuals and entities sanctioned.

If you see any of these crooks casing your neighborhood, call the police, or bypass the middleman and get Mr. Smith and Mr. Wesson to take care of it. - Gin replies to Would like to remain anon in San Antonio| 1 replyTHANK Y'ALL FOR POSTING!!!
I got mine this morning in Fort Worth TX! 817-259-0903 for ft worth or 214-393-9195 Dallas
We bought our house a month an a half ago! I'm so turning these idiots in!
Again THANKS FOR TAKING THE TUNE TO POST!!! - marfina replies to Former DriverThanks for your comment. I read the same thing about someone calling the number and being pushed to buy a security plan. This should be illegal to trick people with a fake delivery notice! How can someone pretend to have a delivery company and it is something completely different! I hope this COMPASS DELIVERY SERVICE will be out of the market soon!
- Des replies to concernedI would like to know more about this? GA? First off where are you getting the address. Secondly GA?
- Crooks? replies to Private NameSpreaden the fear like good Americans. It's sad to see those who don't call pay for a security service that can't really do what they say they can. I bought from the gentleman who came out to my home. Why would I? Because he told me exactly what compass was and how it helps them identify new homeowners, which is their business model. He not only provided free equiptment, but explained how he would also be the one who installs it, and responsible for any problems it has for the duration of the contract. I was able to find his company on the BBB website, which has an A rating, and the monitoring company Guardian Protection services which had an A+ rating.
All in all Marketing is what your having a problem with, and while you search for a reason in the clouds like casen the place, or this, or that...honestly they just want to protect your home with the best consumer alarm out there to date. Anywhoo... - Who started this Blog? replies to MonicaSo now its a scam since someone started a blog and said it was? hahaha...rediculous. Even the former driver was probably fired from the job, and decided to be a disgruntled American. The problem is you crazy people, that you're not doing homework at all on Compass for Metro Delivery, what you're doing is speculating, and passing along to your neighbors [***] soup of the day. And for the handgun and shotgun threats to those who break into your home...Good for you. Shoot em. But its not people putting door tags on your doors you idiots!!!
- Spell Check replies to concernedTry spelling the name right idiot!!! Wiles, not Willis...fruitball...hahahahaha
- JCI'd like to suggest we call and leave them a message with the police department's number, maybe then the police will take action!
Thanks to everyone for taking the time to post about this scam! - MVJust received second note on door while home and workers trucks in front of home. Don't even think about leaving another one. All neighbors are going to be notified, (all retirees), and we live in Hollywood Park who does not allow solicitors. Hidden cameras will pick up your license plate soon, so watch out!
Police have been notified.- Caller: "Delivered by Compass"
- Thankful person replies to Former DriverHi Former Driver,
I just want to say thanks for coming forward and explaining this thing, and forgive the [***] accusing you of tresspassing. He's likely very religous and therefore forgiving too (sarcasm intended). You rightfully explained what this thing is, and put my mind to rest; I'll ignore these from now on! - DecaturWe got a card as these other posts have described just today on our front door. The Google search sent me to this forum. I post myself to let you guys know they are NOT just in Phoenix or Dallas or San Antonio. They have come to little ol' Decatur Texas.
If its interstate, does it become a federal issue? - stone oak guy2 replies to Stone Oak GuyJAMES LARA
This same nut job was at my house last month, when he asked for more information I said not thanks and he proceeded to call my cell phone at night and leave rambling nonsense message. Stay far away from these crooks. GSC Guardian or whatever and in particular James Lara. - AggitatedI received a message stating there was a restraining order filed against me and to call within 24 hours. Stupid me called the number but luckily I only received music and was put on hold. I hung up and searched the number, then found this blog. The company came up as national legal something. They even called my ex-husband's parents. We divorced almost 20 years ago! They stated I left their number as a contact number.
DO NOT CALL THEM!- Caller: National Legal ...
- agitated| 1 replyOne more thing. I am from Washington so it is occurring nationally!

- West Phoenix arizonaJust got home to one of these cards hanging on our door for our landlord. Called the number on the card (my number was blocked of course) it said they were busy with other customers. Bs. I called over and over and over and still said busy. Even after they were "closed". So my husband and I called the police and made a report. We got a callback from an officer saying they already have a report from a house in our neighborhood. Do not call them with your information. Don't give them anything. They are scammers.
