People REALIZE that the "DNC" list was nothing but a creation of the American government to get you to confirm your personal information.Since you gave the "DNC" list your personal information have the calls stopped?? The answer is NO so WAKE UP!! Do you really think anything out of Washington is going to help you?? Washington dc is the crime capital of the world.  

It is probably an automatic dialer which dials and, if you do not answer, it goes to the next number. Works that way for Dial America and other call centers that are solicitors.

You might put your number (S) on the DO NOT CALL list which probably will not help much. Non-profits (e.g, firemen; police beggars).

Do not donate to ANYTHING unless you know what percentage of the money goes to give real help. The Tampa Trib did an article on the worst 25 "charities" in the TB area and most are total ripoffs

"after multiple hellos"? Heck, I figure just one is good enough. If some jerk needs you to say hello twice, or more times, the guy's so dumb I wouldn't have the patience to talk to him anyway. Then again, I NEVER, EVER answer a call unless I know the caller ID name and/or number. If the call is important, they'll leave a message; this puts ME in control of whom I will and will not talk to.

Just called. I answered, listened to the nice lady on the recording and pressed 9. Guess that might have been a mistake.

This number called me last night at 8:57 P.M. local time.  A recorded message began telling about some wonderful deal for seniors.  I hung up before the message was finished.

Just got this call... learned my lesson about this... Don't answer and if you can block the call!!

Just imagine. The great city of New York just called me and was told that my phone was disconnected by the call blocking system on my computer.  Gosh, I hope it wasn't the mayor of New York or the United Nations or something.

ROBOScammer trying to get you to sign up for a "Pharmacy Discount Card".  Also tries to get you to press 1 to speak to a real scammer or 9 to "remove yourself from their call list".

my phone got disconnected while calling about pharmacy mishap.  Then I got a call from this number ??  I didn't recognize the number and didn't answer.  

Must be very lucrative to scam gullible senior .
This number is now blocked.They will use another spoofed number to call again.Seems to be a lots of these unwanted calls lately .People are unemployed and desperated. They will find way to make a living or to protect home foreclosure ,until economy get better,I guess.So the calls will continue.Just do not answer and block all of them.

How do you get these **sholes to stop calling. Have gotten at least 5 calls from them, some on different numbers but all about the same thing. Have to be removed from their list every time yet they call again and again. We are on the "no-call" list as well but does not seem to matter and especially as there seems little we can do about it. Seems like there should be a way to stop them.

very easily.Amazon.com has call blockers to block unwanted calls.
Pick the one you like.Some model you can set up 2 devices (units) for more number of calls block.
Some Panasonic phone can block 250 numbers and stop ringing on the time you set.
Comcast will block 12 numbers.
Then the phone will not ring often

Received a call from this number about medic alert for seniors.  Pressed 9 to be removed from the call list, but did not hear a confirmation that we'd been removed.  It's super annoying to receive these calls at home, but we are a business and are definitely NOT in need of any medic alert systems.

These morons called at 4 PM and naturally we ignored it.  And then at 4:02 PM they called again, and we ignored that one too. And then at 4:04 PM they called again and guess what? We ignored that one too. I guess their new technique doesn't work.

A robo call for "senior safety"  DNC is just about worthless.

I telephone the number and got the message:  Not In Service
Also with number 301-241-6565 this afternoon and again Not in Service...

I get so many unidentified numbers and scammers I have kept a log since the first week of June and have received over 70 unique unidentified numbers.  Eight of those are scammers trying to "give" me a medic alert system.  I don't answer callers who refuse to identify themselves no matter how mad they make me (like calling 8 times in 9 hours) but I did once when I got a robocall for the medic alert system.  I pressed 5 to be taken off the list.  They called me one more time and stopped after that but I received the exact same scam from 3 different numbers over the next week. My best advice is don't answer if you don't recognize the number.  I suspect also that when you push a number to be taken off their lists, your number is automatically transferred to other numbers.
