- clever guyI know how this process works.
It is a scam company no doubt.
First they create the problems and then they solve the problems themselves. The problems they refer to is never going to hamper your computer. They are not registered with any legitimate company.
I know people who work for this process.
They solve issues like removing temp files and prefetch files which any computer literate person or even some softwares can do.
It is advisable, not to go for their support.
They make up fake names and threaten you people with spyware/malware attacks, system freezing,PC running slow which any computer illiterate person is going to fall for.
I know a lot about this SupportOnClick process and it is nothing but fooling customers in UK,US and Australia as they cannot fool people in Asia that easily.- Call type: Survey
- AshleyI am happy with supportonclick as well. they have helped me install an anti virus in my machine. the support staff was efficient and friendly. he helped me install the anti virus in a few minutes. And the best part is you have to do nothing yourself. the whole thing is automated. Now I am happy with the anti virus security in my computer.
I can now surf the internet with peace of mind. thank you supportonclick. - LauraI got this call from support on click and I let them tinker with my comp for a couple of hours. They said it was a trial period and fixed all the issues I have been facing with my computer. Somehow I might have been lucky to get a better caller than what you guys are saying. Neither did I have to pay a buck. Are you sure they said they are from Microsoft?

- k| 3 repliesIndian guy- bad connection: Said was from Microsoft Support Centre. Quite bossy- Each time I said 'i don't understand what you're saying' he raised his voice in a rude, pushy sounding way... I still could not make out a word of it. His arrogance was good psychology- making me wonder if he was doing me a real favour. Said they'd received an error message saying my machine had 'junk stuff on it'. I played along with him for a little bit to see what the scam was. I gave away the info about what OS i run (was that a risk?)
He was asking me to go into My Computer, then look for a a folder called 'managing' (i think he meant management)- I started laughing. He said "are you laughing sir?"
"Yes"
"Why"
"because you sound a complete liar"
"No I assure you I am not sir"
He hangs up-- Caller: claims- microsoft support centre
- k replies to Daniel| 2 repliesYou let a total stranger who cold called you, access your PC remotely? Was this wise? Or are you a stooge for the scammers? Is there anyone else here who thinks granting such access is a good idea?
- Laura replies to k| 1 replyToo bad for you K. I hope things are fine with your machine. I had an antivirus issue. They did solve it. Lucky may be. But yes, I did give them a chance.

- JanHere it is Aug 10th and they are still out there. I received a call from one of the same India men. He asked for my husband by name (first and last). I told him he wasn't available even Theo he was. He then asked if my computer was running slow and I asked him how he would know that. He said they were connected to my computer and could see. I asked who he was call for and he said Microsoft. I told him no and hung up. That was that.

- clever guy replies to kIt was event manager.
You can do that by right clicking on My computer icon and then left clicking on the manage option. You will see a Computer Management screen coming up.From there they take to the event manager and interpret the errors inside application and system in their own crap [***] ways.
That is all [***].
Every computer generates those error messages.
Support On Click totally sucks out the money from the customers without giving anything in return - SamHad a call from an indian who said his company had been looking at my computer and I had downloaded unwanted styff - wanted me to get into run and change some settings - I refused but said I would call him back - beware of Rome 01274 900834 or 01274449373 .

- indian scamming [***]| 2 repliesphone rings - i pick up - hear nothing for 10 second then a small click and then 5 seconds worth of music - then an indian/pakistani sounding dude comes on asking for me by name. I said he was speaking to me and he introduced himself as mark roberts - might have been rogers tho as i didnt make it out too good. anyway - i asked if he was sure as he sounded more like an abdul or a mohamed or possibly even saleem type of guy. he said no he was mark and he was phoning about my computer, how has it been running, was it slow. This was when i knew that he was selling a scam. I said no its fast as a rapists [***] as its a [***] hot top spec custom built water cooled gaming rig. He asked how old it was- was it over a year old. I said yes - he then said that was i aware that the parts inside are no longer covered by the inbuilt safety systems as they ran out after a year. I asked him what parts exactly but he didnt answer he just started going on about how his software warrenty would fix it and give me protection. I asked him again what parts are no longer covered but again he just kept going with his speel. I then asked what company he was from but he didnt answer again and instead started over again telling me about his software warrenty thing. I then said if you dont tell me what its called im not going to buy it and explained to him how he wouldnt buy something from me without knowing what it was would he. he then started over a fresh about hte software warranty thing. thisprocess went on about 10 times before i eventually managed to get the name of supportonclick out of him. One of my mates at work had this happen to him about 6 months ago but he foolishly went and logged onto the link the guy gave him as the guy said he was from dell and my mate has a dell computer so he thought it was legit. It turned out that they downloaded the contents of his computer through remote access - as he does a lot of online banking they got access to all of that as well. They then made the mistake of demanding hat he pay £120 for them "fixing" his computer and getting abusive when he said no. The dude then turned round and said we have seen your accounts on your computer you can afford £120 - in fact me might just take double that. after that my mate hung up the phone and called police and had to change ALL his bank accounts - alot of hassle as he has shares and stocks and [***] loads of different bank accounts!!! After researching it the best we cabn come up with is that supportonclick.com are actually a legit responsible company but these fraudsters are using their name as a front for their scam and use names like microsoft, dell, HP etc to kind of scare folk into doing as they say as lets be honest if you had no idea about computers and someone phones up saying they are from microsoft your gonna think why are they getting in touch with me-it must be serious-id better do as he says!!
anyway folks - dont let abdul or wahtever his real name is cause you the same grief as my mate....you have a computer....use it to research companies before signing up to anything..... REMEMBER GOOGLE IS YOUR FRIEND!!!- Caller: claimed to be supportonclick.com

- SacredCow : )So the first guy called and wanted me to do all of the same stuff that is listed here. First thing first, I disconected my PC from my Internet connection. Then he said I have a problem. All the while I could her applause in the background. My guess is that they were cheering every time they landed a fish. He then "connected" me to a technical supervisor named "Jason". After 10 minutes of stringing Jason along the conversation quickly degraded into him insulting all Americans and that our fathers were all in India giving us tech support (not sure where in the he'll the father thing came from). At any rate, if you have some spar time just keep them on the phone and act stupid. Great fun!!! And be sure to mention something insulting about curry or Ganesh. It really gets the conversation going : )

But everything is ine till date. But my computer is running smoothly now & all my data are safe & secure. Therefore, I think they are not at all fraudstar.

- Notanidiot| 1 replyI keep getting calls from the 'Windows service centre'every couple of months or so, but being very cynical, have not actually fallen for their nonsense. Today someone called (Indian) and once again told me my computer was generating error reports. I was very curt with him, as usual, and asked what he was going to do about it-said he would fix it, so I said 'What-and charge me?' He replied 'No'. Anyway, I said if he wanted to discuss it further, he could ring back later and speak to my husband who is a computer technician-funnily enough, they never seem to do this! Next time they ring, I might just string them along for a laugh.
Out of interest, I googled Windows Service Centre and had my suspicions confirmed by this site.
Incidentally, my in-laws have had similar phonecalls, and they haven't even got a computer!- Caller: Windows Service Centre
- Ken replies to ArmandnuttbutterHooray! Somebody who had them do the same as they did to me. Some people said I was wrong about the Trojan Traps, but I definitely know they set up a fake Youtube link about a car, posted on a car owner's site, to download a Trojan dropper that gave them access to my PC. It then went badly wrong and they phoned me using info from my emails the next day. They definitely had accessed my PC!
They also diasabled my virus killer AND spyware killers. They appeared to be working perfectly ok, but they weren't and I had to reinstall them.
They also seem to have people searching the net to lay traps in places people won't expect them, and to put up fake good reports about them wherever they are being exposed.
If this wasn't in India they would all be in jail.
