I never got the chops yet executed a few (dozens) myself. I know their program inside out, what tell trainees when they first arrive, on the second week, third, how to top grade them, rollovers and how their CON works.

Read the comments before you start making assumptions...if you really worked there you would know that circulation is an out right made up con (for most publications), so are the lead generating bs they promise, so is 80% of their whole operations, which is all dodgy. If you really worked their and haven't learned that, then reconsider your own assumptions not anybody else's.

Yeah well seems these blogs are not too bad cos before GDS was just coming in here talking about how much money they get now they have impostors coming in pretending to be ex employees and calling others bitter....

Whatever happens in the case I witnessed that kind  of animal behavior from all those [***] managers who think they're the dog bollocks walking around harassing everyone, in fact even people who worked their enjoyed it and had a good time do not deny the coke, sexual innuendo's, the culture and everything their know for...

So what was your point again? Oh yeah your Company..carry on with the PR but sorry GDS isn't real sales, still crap. full of douches, the only bitterness is funding that con house, some nice people but they work their tongue in cheek, operations corrupt and rotten inside out.....but hey keep trying keep at it there are suckers to be employed every minute....I was one!

Ummm.... OK where do we start? Is GDS employing a private PR Company to make us all finally realize we are all bitter, ex employees, who all got sacked because we couldn't cut it in Selling Advertising in Publishing??

I bet they wouldn't last in Jims new one also the HybridNews.....i get now!    

You are all right all the way...I drink a lot, like a fish...but hey that's one of the main reasons why I was so popular and everyone loved me at GDS....

As far as truth.. GDS not only handles the truth they do it ever so well! We know they mediocre in terms of Publishing, got no circulation muscle, industry leading content my ass, but hey, hash hash, we sure know how to handle it......you're right got fired probably deserved it the lot of them ...Losers! No sympathy from us GDS winners!

this thread is a fantastic read, of fantasy, drugs, delusion and preventative sales.  I love that GDS employees are so arrogant to come on and try to defend themselves.  The truth is were none of it to be true they would have simply published a statement and then ignored it.

keep it going though as this is doing my business great, especially when clients mention attending a conference or taking out an Ad, I simply tell them to google "GDS SCAM"

Anyway, Get on Those Phones GDS, and continue to give us all entertainment..

Come on now, take this blog for what it is, a constant reminder to those out there that really aren't losers like you, to get on with their lives and steer clear of companies llike GDS. I don't suppose you can actually get a job anywhere else now can you? Now that you've changed your name and country of residence so many times - plus that you haven't strayed far from Spencer’s balls for some time now so I guess you're a little stickier in that hot Bristol office. Perhaps a little more ingrained in the culture now? So keep up the licking and enjoy your excuse for a life - I’ve moved on and upward I might add, since GDScamming all those years back I've learnt there's so much more to life than ripping other people off and faking it just like you still do every day. Oh yes and I now earn what GDS never could deliver, legitimately, with a pension, car, 40 days + holidays, healthcare, expenses, real performance bonuses, a more than competitive three figure salary and many more benefits beside! Sales in the real world graduates, is just that - real!

Any companies out there about to take the plunge into GDS lies, don't - you'll get nothing from it aside from a considerable loss from your marketing / sales budget for the quarter. NO ROI there people, EVER.

Who ever you are 'Yawn' - take it from me that in fact, all of those previous employees that post on here pity you and the rest of the offices for being taken advantage of EVERY DAY - mug. Me bitter? Nope, I left on my own accord and within a week of seeing what the place was really all about. You bitter, perhaps - for knowing how many people got away and are so much better off for it now. Ah well, c'est la vie, eh champ?

I admit that the conditions within GDS are quite like the film boiler room.  However, Every single person on here who is having a go at GDS for false sales, might want to take a look at their own company, there are no definates in advertising.  GDS Pay very well, and have customer (INCLUDING major multi-nationals) re-booking with them, there must be a reason for this.  If companies need to slag off their competion in order to gain prowess, doesn't that say something about theire business morales.  I left GDS to continue my career else where, through no fault of their own.  Good Company, Good Pay, Good Rewards = Bad and jealous Press.

Good company? hmmm, well no not really. Its a boys club that will always take a little peice of you soul and not give it back. I left there years ago, 10 plus. I never actually thought they would still be going let alone turning over 500k a week.

Hi. I have been researching the credibility of GDS as a company. Any insights from you would really help my future. I applied at the Cardiff Branch to a Mr.Jon Walder. After leaving voice messages and phoning to follow-up with the application and emailing him, at intervals, nothing. Some insights from you about the work environment, if possible in the UK, nature of employees particularly those of the opposite sex (male employees), sales techniques we need to employ, etc... such insider info is useful for me before I spend my money to go all the way to the UK to test this "theory"!

Please advise genuinely. Have applied to GDS Cardiff-branch in the UK. Someone by name Jon Walder has not been confirming receipt of my job-application (after phoning him, voice-mail, and 2 emails). I stopped. Now, because I'm a tubelight, I am researching GDS. A friend of mine works there and he says the past few weeks have been hell. He never elaborated. I am from India, and it costs so much Rupees for us to go to the UK and spend money for accommodation, etc. After going there, I don't want to make my way back home. So please, if you could, share some insider info. What is going on? I am reading good and bad messages. How is the training? And particularly because I'm a woman should I beWare of the male dominated environment in terms of my security! I've read comments on sexual harrasment issues, compulsory drinking, drug issues... ? Please shed some light.
