I received a phone call from phone number 214-377-5991.  It was a younger male voice that said he was a family member and had an emergency and needed to send him $1700.  After asking him questions he said he would figure it out, and don't tell anyone about the call.

Automated call reporting that my ATM card had been limited, for a bank I don't have an account with. I was instructed to "press 7" to reactivate the card. I didn't  and the call was disconnected. Called the number back and got a busy signal. Tried 5 more times over the space of 20 minutes and still got a busy signal.

I keep getting calls from this number with clips or music or Homer Simpson talking. Although it was funny the first two times.... it's getting a bit annoying

Got a call from this number playing the song "Never gonna give you up". It was quite entertaining. I thought maybe it was a thing where friends could tell that number to call you as a prank.

Called this morning saying they were my grandson .  Said he was on vacation in Barcelona and was in some trouble. I asked him how he got to Barcelona when he doesn't even have a passport.  They had tried the same scam a couple of months ago  so this time I just led them on--finally I said--"Sorry--Broke" and hung up.

This happened to me a few months back--almost fell for it until he told me not to tell his mother (who he lives with).  He said he would call back for the money order number so I hung up-- called his mother and lo and behold he  answered the phone.  And to top things off the guy DID call back.  I gave him the following MO #-1-800 Eat [***].

I received a call from a kid in "Barcelona" who began the conversation with, "Can I talk with you Grandma"?  He did sound like my oldest grandson and he's called me beginning the conversation with that very question. Because of that, I fell for it for about 60 seconds.  Of course this kid was in jail and needed $1500 to get him out because his bail was $2000 and he only had $500.  When it was obvious I wasn't falling for his scam, the kid started swearing up a storm and I hung up.  I reported this to our local police and a deputy returned my call.  He did a reverse directory search and found that it's a Western Union in Dallas.  He asked me to pass this on to all my friends and even post it on Facebook which I did.

I just received a call from this number and they said it was my grandson I asked if it was (used a name other than  my grandsons name) and they said yes.  At that time I told them to get off the phone and hung it up.  Within 5 minutes I received 2 more calls and when I finally answered again and again used a name that I don't even know anyone with that name they said yes it is and I hung up.  How can we stop this.

received a call from someone claiming to be my oldest grandson.  When I confirmed his name he said he was in Madrid for a wedding.  He had an accident, and needed to talk to me. I asked him how his other grandmother was doing, he answered fine.  (This other grandmother had died the week before). After a few more personal questions, I asked that he call me back. He responde that he was calling from a phone booth. I told him I was in the middle of something, call me back in 20 minutes.
I called my son to make sure the real oldest grandson was nearby at work. He was.
This is an old scam to have money wired.
If you get a call like this, be sure to ask plenty of personal questions that only the real person can answer correctly, not the imposter.

I tried everything I could. The Henderson Police would not do anything. I was very upset. The officer said I had an "attitude." I called the Dallas Police, and they told me not to take no for an answer, but it did not work. This number is a land line. I don't get it.!!!

Rec'd two or three calls.  Screen all calls, so didn't pick-up any of them.  No messages left.

Anyone getting imposter calls should report them to the appropriate authorities.

I just received a call from this number and the person was stating that I trashed a hotel room and that they wanted me out and to give her a call back.  Little do they know I'm a manager at a 5 star hotel and would never trash a room.

My mother just got the same call only it was a girl saying Hello Grandma!  My mom said... Nadia is that you?  She said she was in Barcelona at a wedding and got into an accident.

My mother asked her some questions and they said.... Nadia... What is your middle name? The girl hung up!

She tried to call the number back but it was disconnected.  BE VERY CAREFUL!

We received a call from this number about 11:00 a.m. 4/25/12.  The caller addressed my husband as Grandpa and went on to give the story of a friend's wedding in Barcelona. (Note: our grandsons are 12 and 8.) My husband responded, "Shame on you.  This is an old scam.  You should be ashamed of yourself."  And then he hung up.  Obviously the phone is being used for a number of scams.  Is there anyone we should notify?

I just got the same "grandson" phone call scam from that Dallas, TX number, yesterday.  But it was a friend's wedding in Barcelona, instead of Madrid!  Same deal...he was there for his friend's wedding (my grandson is in high school, and is BROKE, so would not be traveling...)  Needed money for bail.  I told him "Sure, I'll send you all the money you want, if you can tell me your dad's name!!!"  Very quiet for a long time, then hug up!
These creeps need to be stopped.  I guess educating the public is the way to do it.  If they get NOTHING for their efforts, it won't be worth their while.
