So you're telling us this "company" works out of a RESTAURANT?!

    http://www.yellowpages.com/hammond-in/mip/phlly-steak-lemonade-475274063

EDIT:  Ah, I see what you did - you put the restaurant's address in the filing rather than your own?

They should not be releasing the patient name and treatment (egg storage). This violates HIPAA privacy policy and can be punishable by up to $25,000.

Sensible application of law replies to Pissed-In-Indiana
Debt collectors must operate under laws. I am not an attorney, but it sounds to me like the harassment they are giving you is illegal; against specific federal regulations. I was once told by an attorney who also holds an MBA, that debt collectors who don't follow the "Fair Debt Collection Practices Act" create legal grounds for your debt to be erased. The erasing of the debt is both an incentive for these collection agencies to treat debtors with the dignity the law provides for. The erasing of the debt is also a financial punishment to the collection agency who breaks the law (Fair Debt Collections Act) by harassing you.

It appears to me that a class action suit is possible if enough people had claims of harassment against the company behind 219-937-7665. Furthermore, because the acts of lawlessness (harassment) are similar from collection agency to collection agency, it may be possible to combine class action suits. That would create a case large enough to attract a very good legal team to file and win the class action suit.
My internet search of the “Fair Debt Collections Act” is shown below - Good luck

Did you know that these people are actually trained to harass people like this to scare them and talk to them with force to get you to pay.  They have no clue.  I wouldn't even talk to them.  I dealt with similar situation not long ago. My husband filed bankruptcy, It was I think seven years.  The guy had the nerve to accuse my husband of being irresponsible.  I told them , you want to talk irresponsibility?  I have informed you several times of this, you are irresponsible for loosing the paperwork on this matter in the first place.  I then hung up and never heard from them again.

"Ma'am, by law we are not allowed to call more than 3 times a day."  What law would that be?  The FDCPA specifies the hours but not the number.  How would that person you replied to know who they weer calling?  What is your true legal business name and address?  You claim to be a legitimate debt collector so you should have no problem posting that information.

These laws are only valid if it is not a government debt. Those that collect government related debt, especially for college tuition from government loans are above the law.

If that were the case why did the CFPB slap Navient, Pioneer, and few other DCs?  As a matter of fact, Pioneer and 3 other DCs had their right to collect student loans revoked, they lost their contracts.  I know you won't be back to refute me.  You are no doubt a hit and run poster who likes to show how ignorant they are.

Consumer debt covered by the FDCPA arises from transactions "primarily for personal, family, or household purposes". Student loans fall neatly within that definition. How they are underwritten makes no difference.

Student loan collection is a field overrun with cowboys who find out the hard way they can lose court cases brought by victims and also their contractor deals with the Dept. of Ed. for their runaway FDCPA violations.

Let's not get everyone confused with that foolish rider crammed into the 2015 Federal budget which would exempt gov-backed debt collection from critical parts of the TCPA, the "license to harass" plan which the HANGUP Act was written to reverse. Now hurry back to your fog machine before it runs dry of juice.

Considering that the poster Tamianth was replying to stated they were calling about MEDICAL debt that is no longer owed, your nonsense doesn't apply. Medical debt isn't government debt.

I'd had the same observation. Mister Nobody's claim was too foolish to resist debunking in any context. Shills have a remarkably low aptitude for reading comprehension.

So if your "company" is contracting this "agency" which is not licensed to operate under the laws of your state, wouldn't that make you an accomplice to illegal racketeering?

    Just sayin'....
