For most calls of this type, if you press "1" you will be taken to a person immediately.  They will identify themselves by first name and then ask for your name.  My standard response is:  "John, you've got to be one sorry human being to work for a company like this.  Goodby."

At the very least it will make the person feel badly about themselves.  At best, it will make them want to throttle their boss at the next opportunity....

If anyone thinks that reporting these scumbags to anybody has  accomplished anything, take a look at the posts at this site alone.  There are seven pages of complaints dating back to Jan. 9, 2012.  I have reported this number and a host of other numbers used by the same scumbag to the FCC.  Nothing, I repeat nothing, has come of it and I have quit bothering with the FCC.. What we have here is a scam to replace email scams.  Internet providers have done a decent job of filtering junk mail and the only practical solution to this telephone scam business is to make the telcos do the same or at least offer their customers a low cost or no cost method of doing it.  The phone companies ccould easily identify this guy and shut him down but they won't do it.  Ask yourself why!  Better yet, ask your elected officials why they don't make them do it.

Just called.  I just picked up the receiver and punched in multiple #'s, then hung up.  Tired of these stupid calls

This company calls my "do not call" landline once a day, sometimes twice. It initiates as a robo call regarding the frequency of home burlaries, and then says, "to hear more, hit #1, to be removed from the calling list, hit #2". I can tell you that by hitting #2 and requesting to be removed from the list DOES NOT WORK.
I also tried hitting #1 several times and asking for a supervisor. First couple times a supposed supervisor came on the line, listened to my complaint and request to be removed, BUT then the very next day the call comes through again ... IT NEVER STOPS.
I finally got the "Rachael from Card Services" to quit calling me after several months by writing a letter to my State Attorney General's office with the building location of the call I kept getting from a High School in South Carolina. I got a letter from the Attorney General's office thanking me and saying it was being investigated.
Looks like I'm going to have to do the exact same with this GE Security Systems company.
They are NOT giving a free year security system to you. What they promise is a free year IF you'll agree to a sign in the yard and providing them a security deposit from a credit card ... you do NOT want to do that. GE Security Systems is a fraud!

Same old crap. Robo call for security company. If everybody would respond to them with a "yes I would sure like you to put a sign in my yard and install your security system at my house" when they showed up we could say never mind. That might stop at least 1 telemarketer. Who knows, might start a trend for all
DNC telemarketers...

Called and did not leave a message.  I agree with some of the earlier messages about the DNC List. It is uselss and does nothing to prevent these calls.

i answer as  " XXXXXX" Police Dept, what is your emergency ?      They hang up right away.    BAAAHAAAAAAA!!!!!  I love it !!!

The number 253-382-9083, kepp calling at any time of the day, when i do answered they hang up, if you are going to hang up, why calling then?. If the gov would investigate these companies and fine them heavy, it might help the crisis some. Pain in the ass telemarketing, to bad no one answer the phone they will get cursed out.

Get a call from 253-382-9083 at least three times a day - have clickked on the option to get on the do not call list to no avail.

I am on the 'DO NOT CALL LIST".  I did not answer the phone. It showed up on my caller ID, The caller would not leave a message.   Caller ID just showed the number and out of area.

I got a call from 253-382-9083.  Put up a sign on the front lawn, get "free security".  HA!  Scam.  I also get repeated robo calls for credit card rates.  I am on the Do Not Call and Do Not FAX lists, but they do not work.  I simply hang up the instant I realize who or what is calling.  Annoying, but what will stop the buzzards???

This administration is not enforcing any laws - vote republican in November.

Called around 3 pm.  Recording says- Press 9 if you want to be taken off the call list.  I pressed 9.
at 5:45 called again.  I pressed one to speak to someone.  When she answered the phone and asked for my name I said to her " Your company has called here already today and I pressed 9---sometime before that she hung up on me!!  Stupid people.
