I received a phone call from this same number saying that he needed to fix my computer that it was going to crash anytime within th enext few days. I refused to follow his requests and he started yelling saying that I needed to go to internet explorer. He would not give a name or any information regarding his company or even how he got my information. I refused and asked more questions about who he was and what he was calling about and he said "fu*k you" then hung up.

This number has called me three or four times!  Finally today I asked him what right he had to monitor my internet usage and my computer?! He said he was calling from Microsoft and that I had downloaded malware.  I asked him again about what right he had to do that with my computer and demanded to speak to his boss... he didn`t know what I meant when I said boss, big hint there that he doesn`t work for microsoft!  Finally when I said supervisor/manager, he put me on the phone with another person... rather then put me on hold and transfer a call, like a big company like Microsoft would do, he just held his hand over the reciever and called some guy over.  This person then started reading me the same script the first guy did.  I yelled at him and said that he wasn't answering my questions and hung up!

If they call again I will try the whistle/horn technique!

Must be a full moon because I have had about 6 different scam calls in 2 days? Anyway - got a call - display said 'long distance". Picked it up and it rang until 'Mike" from Microsoft Support answered to help me with my PC, which was 'sending out error" messages. Asked Mike what my name and number was - since he was able to phone me - he must know that, right?? Then I asked him about my PC - no reply. Then I asked him the weather in Mumbai. He wanted to know why and I said 'You're obviously calling me from India, so I want to know the weather there". I must be getting old, as I told him I do not own a computer - guess I forgot about the 4 I own?? He hung up.

Ten minutes later, got a call from 253-802-0308 - so I guess Mike gave my number to somebody else. Since we'd become such good friends, and I still was curious about the Mumbai weather, I picked it up - but it immediately disconnected. Not to worry - I went on the net and got the Mumbai weather ;0)!

As with all the other posters, today was the 2nd day in a row receiving a call from a thick accent mid-eastern man informing me that my Windows PC was sending out errors/viruses...basically, what everyone else here has already said.

I had a hard time understanding him through the accent so I couldn't catch the company name or even his name.  I immediately thought, "smells like scam".

I told him I don't have a Windows PC upon which he got testy and basically called me a liar.  I told the pencil dick [***] to F* off, never call me again, and then I hung up (again).

Called the number on my call log and got a recording warning me that the call was a trick and related to a phishing scam.  

Now I've got to email all my friends/family and let them know how bad this really is.  Found this page just by Googling the phone number 253-082-0308 and I'm glad I did.  Thanks.

Keeps calling when try to call back won't go through

i just received the same phone call a couple mintues ago with strong accent, i didnt understand him at all. i only catch couple words are like computer system....sue you......ok!......ok! i told him i didnt understand his english ,but he just kept talking . Finnally i said to him thanked for his time then i hung up the phone. :(       Same no called again, i didnt answer him.

He's phoned here twice now today and about every other day.  I haven't answered.  I finally checked  here and found who the number was. Thanks for the heads up!

somebody keeps calling me from this number and say that You have problem with your internet.You have visited corrupted site.Now pay us fine,And talk stupid things.Why are u using wifi?I am the one to use internet.My aunty was at home.She received the call.She does not know much about internet.I am scared She might has talked to him.Please help me

Heavy accent...calls 2-4 times per day....says there are computer issues.  I'm on the no call list and there seems to be no way to stop them yet.

Just got call from the above number.  He told my husband that his company was getting a "distressing" signal from our computer.

What planet are they from???

Do people actually give info to these crooks??  I hope not.

I am going to report the phone number to the Secretary of State in Washington---maybe they will check it out.

Sept 13 also had a call supposedly from Windows on error messages coming  from my computer . These people are scamers

Started getting calls from this number a couple days ago.  First time, the caller (in very broken English - maybe from India) said something about my computer sending out viruses, etc...  I sounded really excited and started shouting "what kind of computer are you sending me?"  to which the caller hung up.  Second time was today, and the caller said (again in a broken English) that he was from a computer repair company and had been requested to help me fix my computer.  I said "good, because I don't have a computer" and he apologized and said he had called the wrong number...  I think that the next time I get a call from them, I will start a conversation with the caller and ask them how they are doing, and where they are calling from.  Is the weather nice where they are?  Do they have children that they are putting through school by calling and helping people fix the problems on their computer?  How can I help people fix their computers and make money?

We have been getting calls from different numbers for over 3 weeks now telling us our computer sent out a windows security problem. We have not had any problems and it is very upsetting getting these calls every other day.

I got a call from this number on caller I.D it says unassinged number they aid you reported a problem on computer we are going to fix and tried to send me a code over the phone and wanted control of my computer. I think this may have been a hacker they led me to assume they were Micro soft and were going to fix my computer she was very different accent from me. broken english hardly could understand.

This number called my grandmother this morning saying she was downloading suspicious material on her computer. She was at work so they said they would call back in an hour. I looked this number up and found this website and I just got off of the phone with the man. I told him that I know he is located in Auburn, WA and that if he didn't stop calling I would send the proper authoritys to his location. He replied by saying that they were located in Washington D.C. I told him that I know he is a spam artist and if he wants trouble that he's reached the right person for it. After that, he said "Oh, okay" and hung up. Hopefully she doesn't get any more calls, because she knows very little about computers and believed every word they told her until I explained what was going on. Excuse my language, but it's really pissing me off.

I got a call after 7 pm from this number the person I believed was a women had a very harh accent broken english I'm from Pa. This person said I reported a problem to windows which I did and they led me to believe they were them and was trying to talk me into going to my computer and hit on http line and type stuff up there that would send a thing to give them access to my computer first off I believe if it was them they wouldn't show up on caller I>D> as Unassigned number so I just hung up on them. My advice is don't pick up then they don't know what time to asume your home. 1-253-802=2308
Now I'm going to report to phone company what they did to me.

Received a call 15min ago from a middle eastern accent male stating that he could give me $5,000 grant if I would give him my bank account number he gave me false address told him hell no and he hung up.

He has called 3 times - once each night, 3 days in a row.  On the 3rd call, I told him I did not have a computer - he called me a liar.  I laughed and said that he "must be telling the truth".  He got angry and kept yapping away.  I then told him that I had a million dollars that he could steal if he was smart enough.  I then laughed as he got enraged.  I finally hung up.  They will surely call back.  It sounds like a call center - a lot of talk in the background.  What a joke.  Next time I will tell them that I have a Mac.  Annoying to say the least.

I actually told them I have a Mac (because I do). Doesn't work. A few days later, they're calling me again. At 10PM.
