received on 8/19/2011 at 13:44 EST. "Account Services" scam calling about lowering credit card interest rates. Went through two layers of representatives before they realized I was screwing with them. They hung up.

Called left no message, called back, 3 rings then disconnect message.

I have got the call today. My phone number is a cell phone and not a house phone. Do you all have cell phones? like me.

They called me trying to lower my interest rate on a credit card. They wouldn't say who they were and had a middle eastern accent, duh what a surprize.

I just received a call from this number and answered; a recorded message stated that the federal reserve had just lowered the interest rate to 4.9% and by taking advantage of this you could have your credit card interest rate lowered. However, this was your final notice and the offer expired soon. You could press 1 to supposedly speak to a customer service representative. I hung up at this point.
A specific company was never identified.

cell phone company is T-mobile. They must have sold my cell number. I don't give it out to anyone but family. This number called. Have no clue who it is.

got a call from this number on my cell phone.
It was an automated message about expiration of credit card benefits.
When given the option, I hit 1 to talk to a representative. However, the call disconnected after a few rings.

It's a slimeball credit card company.  When I asked them why they were violating the do not call law they hung up immediately.  I reported them on the donotcall.gov website, but the slimeballs never seem to get caught, or don't care if they are.

this is a typical VOIP telephone number. there are many numbers like this with area codes for places that even the people living there didnt know it existed. much like the 281 from TX. what is actually happening is someone is using the internet to call you for very cheap. that could be a credit card company that legally purchased your phone number or could be an old freind in Mexico using SKYPE to call you and say hello. in most cases, if you do not have any children, freinds or other family that could call you from an online service, then it is probably a company that is trying to either get money back that you didnt pay OR a company doing robocalls using a company in India to make the telemarketing calls using the internet. in most cases, you posted your number or signed up for some sweepstakes and that company sold your info (as they said they would in the fine print on the backside of the raffle ticket).

They call my number 1 or 3 times a week and I just immediately hang up.  Just received the latest call a few minutes ago.  Calling to see about lowering credit card interest rates.  I'm on Do Not Call List but doesn't seem to do any good.

These people call me about 3 times a week and have been calling for about 2 months now.  I just hang up on them as soon as the recorded message starts.  Some kind of crooks saying they can lower my interest rates on credit cards.  Very annoying and I'm on Do Not Call List but they still keep calling.  They called a few minutes ago, AGAIN!!

I called it back and the number was no longer in service.

I can't answer their calls! They call every month and leave a message saying " card accounts, and have one in good standing, press 1 to speak to customer services". But my phone doesnt show them calling, just a missed call and I call the number back and its been disconnected!
