Fraudulent "Because you are a special customer of Air Canada Jazz you have won 3,000 travel dollars" spiel. Believe it an MTS-Allstream number leased by this particular scammer. Pressed one, got a pleasant sounding older woman who probably didn't know she was committing a crime, literally played "dumb" to her.

Got the same message, but from Air Transat this time, in Mtl, how they get our number... yesterday I suscribed to their on-line career center...

Unknown call, unknown area code ...  didn't answer ...

Just got the phone call and decided to ignore it. Turns out my suspicions were confirmed by all of you guys.

An unwanted call that has been reported here .... for personal security reasons.

I had a miss call from that number... No message.

They called both my home and business number one hour apart so somebody has given them a list so they can connect these calls. It was not a coincidence.

Called my cell phone, no message. Then called my home number an hour later, no message. Weird.

Same garbage. Valued Air Canada customer. So, let me get this straight. I have ONE flight from three years ago, and this makes me a valued customer. Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight. Sending this one to PhoneBusters.

Just got one telling me i was a fan of the Edmonton Oilers and had won a valuable prize. Seems they have info from somewhere? or they assume everyone in the 780 area code is an Oilers fan :)

Called my cellphone; I missed the call (fortunately) and they left no message.

This number called my office (a health clinic here in Victoria) yesterday, then my cell phone today.  Something about being a member of Air Canada something-or-other.  It must be doing a massive callout because at work it's the mainline and my name isn't associated with it.

Apparently I am a special Air Canada customer! Yippee!

Got a call from this number. The recording is of low quality saying you are getting a gift from Air Canada. This is obviously a scam.

Missed call on cell (my number has been registered for several years with the "do not call list"). No message was left.

This is a phishing call.  It is run by an illegal telemarketing operation with the intent of obtaining your credit card number.  It has nothing to do with Air Canada, nor is their telephone number really 289-695-9898.   It works because the government regulators that oversee telecommunications fraud won't take action to stop them.   If you have given them your credit card number, your only option is to call your credit card provider immediately and cancel the card.
