I received the same exact email in response to a Craigslist ad.  Only mine went farther than that.  The email used was arabmoniemaker@gmail.com, using the name Sammie Jackson.  Said he wanted the car I have for his cousin and would even have it transported from the state I live in to where his cousin lives.  this was back mid-October, I received a certified bank check from Citibank with no information as to what is was for.  The return address was Isabella Moore from Gaitherburg, MD.  When I called Citibank, they told me it was a good check!  But I needed to call that branch when they open Monday.

I received the same message that said this from a Henry Cooper. I am from California - do I also contact the maple grove police dept?

Thanks for the swift response, just to let you know that am okay with
the condition and price of the item, am ready for its purchase and my
form of payment will be by sending you Check via FEDEX 2/3days delivery.
I'll be responsible for the pick-up and the pick up money will
be included in your payment to avoid delay and to enable pick up
company to schedule an appropriate time for the pick-up at your
location after check has been cashed,as i have other properties to be
    moved alongside with yours.

I would have really love to come for the viewing but due to my work
frame that might not be possible, but if you have the pics, might want
to have a good look. Please do get back to me with your full name and
address including your cell and land number so i can make out payment.

    Regards,
    Henry

I also just got an email from this "person" stating exactly as everyone else had.  Thought it was suspicious so I looked up the email address of kimiswilliams@wikizplc.com, and found this.  I got the same reply as everyone else.  Thanks for posting. Now know not to respond. This gets so frustrating.

With these types of emails I always send them the address of the relevant state consumer protection agency head as the place to send the check.  (At least twice they apparently fell for this!) I certainly never give them my actual address or telephone number, and I never use an email address that has my real full name associated with it.

I got the same e-mail response to furniture on craigslist, different e-mail addresses and different names. The first e-mail came from hyuiu87@hushmail.com, the second one (form response about fedex and check and being deaf) came from Kim williams and an e-mail address of kimiswilliams@wikizplc.com.

I literally just got the same e-mail except they changed the name.. The @wikizplc made me think. I've never sold anything on craigslist and the "thanks for the response" confused me. I think I would remember talking to someone that wasnt @yahoo, aol or something like that. Thanks for saving me time and money! Do I just mark them as spam and not talk to them or do I turn them in?

    Hello,

Thanks for the response... I'm okay with the condition and price of the item and ready for its purchase. My form of payment will be by sending you Check via FEDEX next day air delivery.

I'll be responsible for the pick-up and the movers fee will be included in your payment to avoid delay and to enable pick up company to schedule an appropriate time for the pick-up at your location after check has been cashed as I have other properties to be moved alongside the item.

And secondly , Kindly delete the posting as am definitely buying it from you and it would be sad for me to have the payment in the mail only to be informed of the its sale.I will also wait for you to cash the check before i have my mover come for pick up.

Would have love to come over for viewing but I'm afraid that might not be possible due to my work frame. If you have more pics please send so I can have a good look. Do get back to me with your full name and address (not p.o box) including your cell and land number so I can make out payment. Also am deaf and will like to be contacted via email

    Thanks and stay blessed

I received a similar message to a posting on CraigsList - this was from Katie Minton. (See message below)

When I responded that I would not facilitate the transaction between the mover and the buyer, she promptly responded with "sorry no can do."  I did not complete the transaction or did I provide my name, phone number or address.  Be careful, if it seems to easy...it probably is!

I was selling a desk and got that same message from Kim Williams.  I even got a check via FedExpress like she said.  It was for $2550.00!!!  I called the bank and they said it wasn't a valid account or tracking number and was fraudelant.  Amazing they haven't caught this person or people.

I got the same thing!!  Sent me a check over the amt for "moving fees..."  $2,100 over the amt!!  She said I was to Western Union the money to the moving company...yea, okay.  Red Flag!!  And yes, she told me I was deaf and had to communicate thru email.  It's sad that people make a living off of scamming others...
