I just got the same email from Eva Knight - she's still working her thing, including the deaf part. Anyone figure out if we can report her to someone? At least abuse@wikizplc.com (if such an email address exists)?

Janet Cole tried to get us. To good to be true scam. Same mo,deaf,and moving. Bank caught it rite away. Problem is she got my phone,address info. What's wrong with people,sad part is now I have to repose the bed on cl. Lol. Good luck to all.

Yes...these emails are definetly a scam so beware.  Do not give out your name, address, bank acount number for a wire transfer, home or cell phone numbers, etc.  If you have any questions or were a victim of this scam, contact the Maple Grove Police Department at (763)494-6100. Below is another example....they are craigslist scammers.

And secondly , Kindly delete the posting as am definitely buying it from you and it would be sad for me to have the payment in the mail only to be informed of the its sale.I will also wait for the check to clear before i have my mover come for pick up.

This scammer has just hit me also.  When I catch up with him, I'm going to prosecute.  Please forward me any information you have on this guy.  I'm not going to let him get away with this anymore if I have any say about it.

I work for a local power company in Houston, TX and we have received about 6 calls this week from people stating they received a check featuring our companies name from Eva knight and Janice Cole.   I've obtained the FedEx tracking numbers used in these shipments from the 6 callers and each time I am able to trace the FedEx shipment to locations in Florida.   If anyone else out there has received a check (regardless if the check is from my company or not) and can provide their FedEx tracking number to me I can include it in the information I send to the authorities.  I don't think these scammers are really all that smart, if so they would realize that just getting a job and going to work everyday would be less work than trying to scam someone for a little bit of money.   The tracking numbers can pinpoint the exact FedEx location these checks are being sent from, and from there it's possible authorities could find out who has shipped the package.  Maybe they were stupid enough to pay for the shipping of the check via credit card or perhaps FedEx may have video images of the transaction.   So if any of you out there received a check by FedEx or UPS, please email your tracking number to me at: briguyinhou@yahoo.com, or if you prefer you can just post it on this site and I will check back.

Bummer thing is I responded with a phone number PRIOR to looking up the number. So irritating - but I won't be dealing with this "entity" any further. here's the info:

Well you can add a deaf JANET COLE FROM THE SAME WEBSITE TO THIS MESSED UP LIST. I'm pregnant with a two year old, I received a check from STARTEX from a real bank that is small in Houston, TX. I lived in houston for years the bank said they received ten calls that week regarding the fake checks. Be careful all. Personally, I'm dealing with cash only from now on.

I just got two e-mails regarding the two furniture postings I put on Craigslist.  You know why I got these weird ones?  I forgot to put CASH ONLY.  Last night I posted them and literally five minutes later there were two messages from Janet Cole!!  I knew it was too good to be true when she wanted to FedEx a check to me...then said she might be able to come and look at the chairs...weird.

You are braver than I am.  I am afraid to reply back because I always assume they are dangerous criminals!!!

I was contacted as well by Eva Knight. The check should be in the mail box tonight. I will try to supply you with any info I can!!

THe first email came from Janet Cole" <qsdger543@operamail.com which was weird, but operamail.com is a legit site.  The second email came from "Janet Cole" <janetisscole@wikizplc.com which made me think SCAM because a) who replies with 2 different emails and b) wikiplc.com?  Not legit.
