Just called about 1/2 hour ago and no message....
Will block this one too....

Called several times, no message

called 9am 12/1.  left no msg, no id.

I answer and then blow a whistle they don't callback.

Keeps calling daily.  Leaves no message on answering machine. Number is now blocked.

Called, left no message. Caller ID said Marathon, Florida. Suffice to say I don't know anyone in Florida, and if you don't leave a message, how important can the call possibly be? Looks like some have said this is something to do with 'senior benefits'.  

With the Panasonic, you can configure blocked numbers to not ring at all.

I am on both the totally worthless national and Florida DNC lists.  I bought a $60 Panasonic KX-TG6841B Expandable Digital Cordless Answering System with Handset from Adorama, which has blocking capacity of 250 numbers.  I do not answer my phone unless I recognize the number or they leave a recognizable message and blocked over 100 numbers in just a few months - that's an average of two numbers every three days - and it was not even the political season yet.  The system also blocks calls from phone number "1" which cannot be recorded on this site and has so far called me 22 times.

Update:  I have blocked 277 numbers thus far and bought a second unit.  I have received more than 502 idiot calls since May 2, 2013.

Not doubting your word but looked up the Panasonic you mentioned.  It did not mention anywhere that is has call blocking features.  Perhaps you used an incorrect model number?

caller id "Marathon FL". Called at 9:30AM and again at 11AM. I bet they call again!

They call every other day. Same senior benefits scam.

Showed up as Incoming Call, no number. I didn't answer, any legitimate caller would leave a message. This one didn't and after they hung up I checked Caller ID and this was the number. I receive bogus calls from too many different numbers to bother to put together a block list.

Yep, as reported, selling "low cost" insurance. Started calling every morning since 12/5 around 9:30. Picked-up twice, but nobody there, and they left no message. Just for fun, called back and got a real person, obviously startled to receive an incoming call. They would only read off of a script and would not answer any specific questions. Another # to add to block list. Caller ID was Marathon FL.
