- DCalled @ 10:40 A.M. CT on January 16, 2015. I did not pick up, and they left no message.
- Caller: "Florida Call"
- C"Hi, this is Sara with senior benefits."
My reply...we have nothing to talk about and slammed phone down.
Even if these creeps were caught they probably would laugh because the system seems to protect the persuer more than the persued.- Caller: senior benefits
- Call type: Telemarketer
- Jan replies to CTkec| 3 repliesI have this phone too. I tell EVERYONE about it. It is wonderful!
- Ct.Am on DNC list!!!! Do you not know what DNC means? It means you're in violation of a law!!! Quit bothering me!!!
- Caller: from Marathon Fla.
- Lee in TX replies to Michael| 1 replyI received two calls in a row. When I wouldn't release a call I was on, they called right back. I wouldn't release then either! Annoying!!! I get daily calls from this number. Does the " no call" list mean nothing anymore?
- BGPReceived a call yesterday from tis number, but didn't get around to blocking it before they called again today. I had already seen the comments here so I knew it was a senior scam, so I figured I'd have a little fun and picked up when they called today. I said hello in a real geezer voice and asked if this was Life Alert calling back, and then immediately went on to thank them for saving my life. I said I wanted to let them know that the police had just arrived and they wanted to talk to the Life Alert person to let them know I was ok, and to get the person's name so they could give him a special commendation. They hung up on me, can you believe it? Now they are blocked. Came up on Caller ID as Marathon FL. Lowlifes......
- Caller: Marathon FL
- SkorpioIt just shows the mentality of these people. Do they really think if they harass someone enough that we will just "give in" and give them our personal information? Blocking these morons has become a personal crusade for me. In fact, maybe I will have a little fun of my own by giving them all entirely bogus information before blocking them. They waste our time. We should be courteous and do the same to them!
- Caller: Only the Devil knows
- keithreceived this call today, trying to sell senior life insurance
- Caller: ?
- Call type: Telemarketer
- Mindi| 1 replyThis number showed up on my CID. I didn't answer, they left a message - "hello?" and hung up. I called back and got "nobody is available to answer your call". Don't know who it is or what they want but the only calls I seem to get on the landline are telemarketers and bill collectors/collection agencies for the previous owner. Then they almost call me a liar when I tell them I am not who they are looking for. Makes me want to cancel the landline.
- Caller: No Idea
- Tasha replies to Jan| 2 repliesWhere can you get the Panasonic device?
- SMILEY replies to Michael| 1 replyDo not call list doesn't work worth a darn, I'm on it too.
- Tamianth replies to SMILEYCriminals don't obey laws simply said! The DNC only works for legitimate and honest business's. Consider getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $40.00 or so. If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.

- NeverAcknowledge replies to Disgusted| 1 replyI used to block calls with my Panasonic phone but at 50 blocks, it was no match for these criminals. I wrote a program that intercepts calls and makes a determination based on rules and predictions as to whether to put the call through to my phone. If the program determines that the phone call is garbage, it blocks the call, the phone never rings and my sleep is undisturbed.
Right now I have over 300 numbers in my block list, many of which are for entire area codes, sub-area codes or various caller id name strings such as "XYZ MARKETING". There are commercial products you can buy that will perform the same functions for you. - NeverAcknowledge replies to TashaAnother alternative is a computer program that intercepts calls. You'll have huge number of options. You'll have to purchase a caller id modem but I think the company has a free version of the program.
