Got a several call from this number, they finally left a message requested I call them back, of course, they didn't identify themselves properly so I haven't called back. Doing a Google search for this number I find many classified placed for Collection Agents wanted, so I assume and due to some debts I have, it is a collection agency, perhaps someone else can confirm this.

I just got a call from this # too. (321-282-4111) They said they were calling from Attorny Borack's office about a legal matter but since i wasn't the one they were looking for, thats all they revealed.

Got a call, woman with an urgent and authoritative tone, I know is a credit card collection call. That it from an attorney's office, are they about to litigate?  Anyone been sued by them for a credit card debt?

Yes, I have been sued by them. I have a judgement against me right now b/c I havent paid them a dime. I do owe some of the debt but they added about 3k in fees. So i just have a judgement! Yes, it hurts in the APR world but I dont have 7k to give them.

I work for a debt settlement company and I have worked with them.  The lady Julie there is a pleasure to settle and account with and yes they do sue.

They ask many times for your name even before than identifyng them self. If you owe money to any debt big or small and they are trying to ruin your day...dont get panic just send them a cease and decease letter via certified mail. You can get it in the internet searching in google like credit restoration.

it is a collector. but it is a law firm,  not a bogus rent a attorney type thing. they will and do file on you.

False report.

Whenever someone posts a message here gravely warning that some law firm is legitimate and does sue debtors, you can bet that it was posted by someone at the shyster law firm.

Yes, these jerks have been harrassing me for several years. At first it was for Montgomery Ward Judgment from back in mid 90's. I settled and paid in full back in 2003. I had to prove this debt was not litgatimate and had to produce the satisfaction letter. They still kept calling me. One day they called me every 15 minutes throughout the day. I filed a bankruptcy and supposedly they were notified to cease and desist. They still kept calling. Now as of yesterday several months later they are calling to tell me I have an outstanding judgment against me with household finance. On my credit report(s) I show no judgment with this company ever. Wouldn't I know, or have beee notified of this judgment. It does not show in public records I owe this debt. I did have a 2nd mortgage many years ago with household but shows debt was paid in full and never late on a payment. This show on all three credit reports. They told me they are having someone come out and serve me papers to sepeona me to produce records of my assets. I told them I have no knowledge of this debt and I am not going. They said they will find me in contempt of court, so I gave them my Bankruptcy attorneys phone number whom also has a docorate. They made fun and laughed and snickered with the supervisor listening on the phone saying what attorney has a Dr. in front of their name she must not be litgitmate. And it took me about 40 seconds to get her pbone number and they harrassed me for not having her number memorized. This is a collection company run by a sleezy attorney whom is used to breaking the laws in The fair credit collection pactices law and they don't care and seem to think the laws do not apply to them. When I get through this I want to start a class action suit against them. Do I have any one interested in joining me in this regard. It is about time they pay the price for illegally harrassing people and claiming phantom debt that is uncollectable, or has been paid and satisfied. These people don't care if debt is 20 years old or not legitimate. They will add on any fees and interest they want. I want these people fined and bought to justice. They got my number and asked for Heather Theyknow my home address  They said  i WAS DRUNK when I asked them why they called me they gave ext 130 and a code nancy 08-03-466 and she said she knows me

i was sued by them too. I talked with a lady named Jen w/Borack and Associates. She called me once or twice. But I taught it was a joke. She was nice and tried to help. I got a summonds and did not go to court. Now, i got a judgment.

They called me today and spoke to my boyfriend.  I am kind of scared to call them back. I don't have any money to give them, I am concerned that they could seize my bank account.  I wonder if they deal with collecting for judgements or are they planning to sue me.  I do have a lot debt

I was sued for a furniture bill that my ex didn't pay even though he agreed to in our divorce settlement.  I am disabled and my only source of income is ssi, he has stopped paying child support.  I have 2 broken down cars on my driveway.   Will they come to my house and sell all my belongings?  So worried...will they garnish my account, all i have is $1200 a month for ssi for me and my 3 kids...HELP!

A cease & desist letter via the mail only stops phone calls. It does not stop the mail, bank or wage garnishments.

Yes...we can and will seize you bank account if you don't call in with a payment arrangement acceptable to the client. Of course the judgement has to be obtained first.

Noone can freeze your bank account when your ONLY source of income is SSI. And no, we don't go to your house and sell your belongings either. In fact, it's people in your predicament that we work with the most and really accept any sensible form of payment to help you get your debt to a zero balance.

I love your reference to "us" as jerks. You are the one who owes our clients money and we are the ones who are the bad guys? If someone borrowed thousands of dollars from you and NEVER paid you back, how would you feel.

We, as collectors have to be "polite" to you, but you guys can treat us like dirt? How does that work? I don't understand how you sign a contract to pay back a debt that perfectly states the company is entitled to late fees and interest accrued, but then gripe when the debt is an additional $1-3,000 more! When your file has been on our office for 2-4 years, what do you expect?! In my opinion debtors are IDIOTS!! I mean don't get me wrong, there are those people who genuinely fell into some hard times and have every intention of paying back what they owe. But those of you who think WE owe YOU something is ridiculous.

And just a word of advice...if we keep calling, 9 out of 10 times it's because you have more than 1 file in the office!! If you paid your bills in the first place we would NEVER call you.
