calling my house, too.  i let answer machine pick up and heard noise but no voice.

It's a solicitation call asking for a donation for terminally ill children.
Did not ask for personal info, just to mail me an envelope.

What good is a donation for someone who is terminally ill?
Money won't help them live any longer and money won't cure them.
Wake up, Get real.
Who is the Cash really going to?
Who is exploiting the sick to line their own pockets with cash?
That is really pathetic and sad. Taking advantage like that.
If I wanted to help someone, I would put the cash directly into
their hands myself, so I know where its going.
I would not give to shady strangers on the phone. Thats stupid.

my second call tonight, called to make sure I recieved the donation envelope. Thought that was weird so I googled them and found out.
There are not registered with the BBB, BBB requested info and they have not  yet to reply.  with BBB a real charity fully provides all information so the public can trust them. So thats a sign for me.

Call was received on 11/6/2009 with no name listed. Told caller I never take solicitation over the phone.  Send a info on letter-head to check for scams.  Received a demand for "$20 Pledge" which I will ignore.  My next call, if harassed will be to the Alabama Attorney General.

Female caller asking for donation for terminally ill children in Alabama.
They offered several options up to $100.00.  When I received the information, January 7th.  The return address to send pledge - PO Box 11606, Birmingham, Al  35202-1606 - Phone number 888-800-0512
Caller wanted the pledge sent right away, ask if it could be mailed by January 10, 2010.

Is this a scam.  I will not send any money to this organization.

Has called two times. I let answering machine take it. Never leave message. I'm on "Do not call" list. Doesn't that count for anything?

I too received a called from 1-334-578-0114 caller id Montgomery,AL she told me she was from Make a wish foundation for terminally ill children who lived in Alabama she said that they do not take donation information over the phone but would send me a pledge card which would have a tax receipt attached...she also asked if i could have it back by a certain date..after i told her i would do it a couple of hours later i received another call from a lady, she wanted to confirm my address once i did that the next day i got the bill in the mail which i noticed that the return address was a p.o box in Birmingham...My husband told me i better check it out on the internet and that's how i came upon this site ...I'm not going to do it but i would feel so bad if this is really a true organization and i didn't contribute so i am going to go to the better business bureau and see if i find any complaints on them.

I got this call on 01/20/2010 @ 06:25 pm...answered,they hung up,called back several times,a strange recording said," the ext.you dialed is unavailable".,tried to leave msg.and it said the mailbox was full...the reason I even tried to find out who it was,was because I used to go to school with a girl that moved to Montgomery.I thought it might be her,since I haven't heard from her in a while.Well if they are scammers,maybe they will get caught...by the way,thanks for your help !!!

334-578-0114 called me too, and I could not get anyone to answer when I tried back. After what I have read, on these comments, if these heartless so called human beings are trying to profit from sick Children they need to be caught and arrested.

call from 3345780114 last night asking for my parents by their first names...they don't know anyone at this number

Caller hung up on answering machine.  From the background noise, I'd say it was a call center

Received a few maessages on my phone which I never returned.  Then I answered one where a man with a heavy foreign accent that I could barely understand asked for me by name and said it was a collection agency (could not understand the name) and I had an outstanding balance due.  I know I have a perfect credit history...always pay all my bills on time so I knew I did not owe this and said so and hung up.  I did immediately get one of my free annual credit reports to make sure there were no identity theft problems....all clear.  I did the *69 to get the phone number and reseached and found this site with other reports of "scam-like" calls from this number.

A caucasian female called from this number asking someone by last name. When I asked if she meant my mother she said yes. She would not leave a message. Hung up. Obviously a telemarketer

I have received calls from this number numerous times - has to do with A Child's Wish Association of America.  I asked them to send info prior to making a donation after receiving a call asking for donation. Last call was to see if I had received info - which I had with a brochure and return envelope with a Birmingham address.  When I googled this name I found others who were receiving calls from this number.  I was trying to find out if it was legit. before sending donation.  Must not be??? Please let me know about this company and if it is a scam.

Caller asked for my husband by his first name on our business line - like she knew him.  When I replied he wasn't in at the moment, could I please take a message, she hung up.

The lady calling said she was calling for "CHILDREN'S CHARITY FUND".
The lady calling - ask for me by first name as if she knew me.
I ask where she was calling from and she said Montgomery, AL.
I then ask her - how much goes to "CHILDREN' CHARITY FUND".
She said 17% goes to the "CHILDREN'S CHARITY FUND".
I then ask her who gets the other 83% ?
She would not answer.
I ask her how much she got of the 83%?
She then hiung up on me.
