Well by lookin up their tax ID, their not even located in AL but in FL, heres a direct link:

As you can see it comes straight from a government site and as you can plainly see, the last known financial information is from 2006 and they are no longer registered with the Secretary of State.

If you truly work for a reputable non-profit business (not sure I believe you or else you would have listed them), then you know the first rule of such fund raising is to politely and clearly identify yourself and the organization you are calling on behalf of.  If someone does that, they are likely to receive at leasy a cordial response.  If they don't do that, then it is a common sign among companies that are either a pure scam, or a near scam where they skim off large amounts for salaries and other overhead so that a small percentage makes it to the stated beneficiaries.

So step up and admit it that you are not who you pretend you are - you are more likely a scammer that is upset because you are not bilking people for as much money as you wish you were.

So you are admitting you are part of an organization thet preys upon people's good intentions so that you and your cohorts can skim 83% of the donations (that puts your organization among the most inefficient charities out there)?  And that you use rudeness as a calling tactic?  It must be tough to live with the shame after a full day's work.

This organization (Child's Last Wish) is not a member of the Associatiaon of Wish Granting Organizations, www.awgo.org.  Also I could not find any web page for it on the internet.
Therefore, I do not recommend it.

They're still at it... same number.  No one spoke up, so I hung up.  I'm glad to have all this info so I'll know how to respond when they call back, lol!

Okay so me and my mom are at home and we got a call from this number and when mymom answerd a mans voice asked if my dad was home and when she said yes but he is unavailable he just hung up...?

I have also received many calls from this number.  I answered the call only because I had seen the number on my caller id several times and, since I have relatives in Montgomery, I was concerned.  The lady explained that she was with a Child's Wish Foundation and asked if I could donate $20.  I asked for more info on the organization. I received a  packet in the mail.  I was so busy at the time, I probably would not have been alarmed, except that I am now getting calls continuously from this number wanting to know if I have mailed a check yet.  This prompted me to investigate this organization.  I have donated to several charities such as St. Jude's and March of Dimes.  I have NEVER had an experience like this.  This must be a scam.  Real charities just DO NOT operate this way.

Just received a call -- caller identified themselves as "A Child's Wish Association." The caller requested $20 donation. When pressed about the % designated for the charity vs administration of the fundraising, a second person got on the line and ultimately acknowledged that approximately 13% went to the charity. The majority (87%) to admin. SCAM!!

Now how much got to tehm adn how much goes to you .................get a real job.................

Hooked up the fax to the phone line, I hope their ears can stand it. I am working a meager income job and can't afford to give to a charity and then lost half my house in a tornado, so I really don't have the time nor the money to donate like I used to. I would be glad to donate some clothes. That is all they would get from me. No money!!!!!
