Yeah, when they call, I automatically select 1 and when they answer, I ask them their address.  When they ask why its needed, I simply reply so I know where to send the papers when I sue their butt..  They hang up immediately and I LMBO  

He didn't have a photo of you.  He just TOLD you he had one.  Do you have proof that he has your info, or did he simply TELL you he had it.  STOP answering calls from numbers you don't recognize.  If it is a legitimate call, the person will leave a message.

Got a call a few minutes ago.  I did like I do with all these calls.  When they ask a question, I tell them; "I don't speak English", which of course I DO!  LOL! .  Sometimes they switch to Spanish...which I also speak, but I'll tell them; "No habla Espanol".  Hahahaha!!!  I'd love for them to switch to one of the other 4 languages I speak!!!  Have fun with these a$$holes people!!!

I got 2 calls back-to-back.  I answered the 2nd one and told them I was the Terminator and sent back in time to murder them.  No one answered...

Got a call from them on 11/4/2013 - I had no idea who it was and just let it roll over to VM but they left no message....I was about to call them back (thinking it was a work related call), but thank GOD I checked this form before I did!
This is my second call, this week, from two random numbers - that, when I looked up on this site (this one and unfortunately, i deleted the other number or I would have listed it), both numbers are linked to credit phishing scams....This is seriously making me a little nervous - I have never gotten these type of calls before and now I have gotten two phishing scam calls in a 4 day window....I have no idea how these folks got a hold of my number, but I am sure this is NOT a sign of good things!!! Yikes!

Caller from 336-228-6986 - Burlington, NC offered lower percentage rate on my CC since I had been making payments on time. Requested the security code from the back of my card in order to fulfill the lower percentage rate on card. I advised I was going to contact my bank first since I had only had my card for about a month. The person the other end immediately disconnected from me when I mentioned me calling my bank. PHISHING!!!! BE AWARE!!!! Contacted my bank. They advised to cancel card and account and open a new CC and Bank Acct.

Be very careful and pay attention to what they say.

I just started getting missed calls from this number on my cell phone and they never leave Vmail.  I have added them to my reject list so future calls will be blocked.

According to my research this is a credit card scam where they claim you are past due and want a payment now.  They will also attempt to get your credit card information (under the guise of lowering your interest rate) as part of their phishing scam.  

If they request a payment, DEMAND they send you proof of the debt via mail (only) on their company letterhead.  They must send you this debt verification letter when you demand it or they are not in compliance with FDCPA laws.  In meantime, you owe them nothing!  FDCPA details here: http://www.ftc.gov/os/statutes/fdcpa/fdcpact.shtm

I just received a call with this number. I didn't answer.

got a call from same person--but I live in canada.  How did they know what type of cr. card I had?  Anyway, when they suggested my interest rate was over 10% I told them they were funny, said good bye and hung up.  I fell for something similar last year-got ripped off for $800 and when I told my cc company they said it was a scam but could not refund!!!!!!!!
I went so far as to contact the attorney general in their state and was not able to receive any help--even though they too knew it was a scam.  Shame on me--I KNEW BETTER.  Never again.

The card service scammers   WILL   "service" our credit cards,   BUT,   when they finish "servicing"  them, they will have no available credit remaining!

You get upset, slam down the phone and are off to a miserable day.
Why don't you get your revenge on these guys and turn the table on them.
I love it when they call me and I have a few minutes to piss 'em off.
Depending on the scam I play the biggest sucker they could possibly hope for.
I love the credit card scammers because I explain how pleased I am they called as I have a $20k limit on my Visa and am paying 19.9% interest on a maxed out card.
I play along and get passed on to the "closer" and when he finally gets around to asking for the credit card number I tell him to hold while I go and get it.
Then hang up and wait for him to call back.
He apologizes for loosing me, must be bad connection and again asks for my card number.
Again I say hold on and i'll get it.
Hang up and wait.
He calls back and asks what happened and i'll tell him that I got back on the phone and he was gone so I put the card back.
Hang on and i'll get it.   Hang up.
Now this is getting funny because instead of you getting uptight, the con is getting pissed.
This is where you get your pound of flesh. :-)
Next time he asks what's going on you can tell him that you just wanted to waste his time like they do ours when they call with the con.
Keep track of how long you are able to keep them on the line and continue to improve your technique.
