Not sure why they keep calling.  When we try to call back it says they are temporarily unavailable.  We are on the Missouri No Call List.  They leave no message, just keep calling and calling.  Absolutely ridiculous!!

Just received a call on my cell from this number.  As with everyone else, no voice mail message was left.

I received a call and when I said hello....no response..After two or three hello's I hung up and called the number right back and the recording said this number is unavailable at this time..Please try again later...I tried one more time and same thing happened..Strange...

It said that I had asked for a quote from Alta Vista for car insurance which I did not. I have car insurance that I like.

Same problem. Also get it from a number that is 1 digit short. Call FCC but new numbers take the place like this one. Some are "UNKNOWN", "ANONYMOUS" and one other. I have Verizon and I never called any insurance company. Giving it a name and optioning your ring tone not to ring or vibrate might be helpful. They show up in the recent call history but not on my messages. Happy counter intelligence.

I did the same thing!  Next time I will make up a number.

Even though I didn't recognize the number I answered in the hopes on telling them to stop calling me.  No one would answer me and I hung up.

received a call from this number at 5:21pm but didn't answer since the area code nor phone looked at all familiar but no message was left so likely unwanted spam/telemarketing despite being registered on the Do Not Call registry and the State of Florida block list

This is exactly how to handle these calls.  We just received a call at a place of business (have to answer phone).  They hung up upon answering.  The caller ID said "Service Call NH."  I will be reporting the number to the FTC & filing a Complaint with DONOTCALL.GOV.  The advice given earlier about saving these numbers and marking them as "SPAM" and setting the ring tone to silent is about the only other thing you can do, unless you have a service provider that allows you to block numbers.

Just received a call from this number to my cell. Usually, I ignore most out of state numbers, but since I know someone with family in that area, I had to allow for the chance it was a call i wanted.

I waited a few seconds before saying "Hello?" and whoever it was hung up. I haven't requested any insurance or other information online, so I have no idea who this is (just that whoever it is is a pest).

Do not say don't call tell them to stoplist you.  If you don't the computer will recycle the call and person record ad customer not interested St this time or something of the sort.

Repeated calls on my cell phone from this number.  Today I answered and after waiting a few seconds a woman came on the line and asked for "Brian Rice." (??)  I told her that "Brian" was busy but I could take a message.  She said she was with Nationwide Insurance and was checking to see if Brian was still interested in health insurance.  I assured her that he is not, and asked to be removed from their list.  My cell number is, and has been for months, on the Do Not Call register.

I keep getting calls from these numbers.  When I answer they hang up.  I got called 7 times in one day.  I just started a new job and I cannot answer my phone.  The receptionist got a call from that same number when I went out to pick up the mail...we have different carriers and have nothing in common.  I knew it was bogus then.  It's ridiculous.

Omg! I answered the phone call and instantly replied, "please don't call this number, I'm not interested!" the lady said,"interested in what??" I said,"in the offer you are about to give me?" she sarcastically replied,"well I was actually going to tell you that you have won money, but obviously you're not interested!" CLICK!

Just received a call from these "so called" people! They need to quit calling...this is getting crazy!! I hope they are looking at this forum cause if they continue to call my phone I will get their [***] for harassment!!!!!! STOP CALLING NOW OR ELSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
