I live in Montreal, like mnt I received a call (at 9:06 pm), did not pick up, no message left either, my number is not telus.....

Got that number calling me around 10:07 pm tonight, didn't had my cell on me so couldn't answer. don't have VM so nothing so more to add.

Got a call from this number at 9:52 p.m. last night.  I'm on Rogers and based out of Montreal.

This has been happening to me, and several of my friends, for at least 2 months now.  Every time its a different area code, but with the same recording.  This time I did a reverse lookup, and 401 is based out of Rhode Island and the carrier is 'RNK'.

I've sent Rogers a nasty email about this.  No way we're getting charged for long distance calls.

received call , tried to call back disconnected

2 of my friends have been receiving these calls for about 1 month. One called back and the number was disconnected.
Whats going on.

It's the Spanish recording too.

401 889 9876 just received again this annoy call

I have also received calls from this number. I answered once and I speak Spanish. What I understood is that, "as a (cell service provider) client, I had just won..."  I promptly hung up.

Does anyone know how to report these scams/scammers?

I have contacted the service provider in question (Telus) and have been informed that this is a mass scamming activity of which they are aware. They are advising customers to let the calls go directly to voicemail and NOT to call the number displayed.  Customers will not be billed for these calls.

Apparently the number has been disconnected.

Got the call at 9:45 last night.  Did not answer and they left no message.

Just missed this call on cell phone, tried to return call, disconnected. I am in Southern California.

Got a call on my cell phone from this number - did not answer, no message was left.

Missed call yesterday @ 10:02 pm / My mobile provide : ROGERS. Tried to call back today from land line > Number disconnected.

got the call last night. said i won a trip to walt disney. the recording was in spanish. i hanged up the phone before they were able to transfert me to a ''live person''.

17:34 on friday 28th. I just got the call and hung up before they transfered me to a representative.. I am with Telus.

received a call this week on my cell phone but I didn't answer.  My husband received one on his cell phone too, he answered a someone was taking in a foreign accent.  Then I checked and all my other numbers ( I have a business, well they all received a call from this number).   I checked this number and it is from the states.  Boy do I wish this juke will stop one day and everybody who is doing this will get punished.  Thank-you

Received call from 401-889-9876 on my voice mail with just that number.  Received it at 3:48pm PST in BC with the 7-11 Speak Out Pre-paid plans
