- Mark V| 15 repliesThis is actually a legit number. I made a purchase online that was rather big then started getting calls from them which I did not answer. Instead of answering or calling them back, I called the number on the back of my debit card to see if it was a scam. My bank said that the number was real and they were calling about recent purchases. If you still believe this is a scam, do not answer the call or call back the number, just call the number on the back of your card and ask them about it. That is the best advice I can give you.

- TheRealSeriouslyⓇ replies to Mark V| 11 repliesIf it's legit, why did you post idiot?
- Tygerkat replies to Mark V| 2 repliesYou forgot to explain why you even bothered to look up the phone number since you already know to whom it belongs.
- Mark V replies to TheRealSeriouslyⓇ| 10 repliesTo help other people know it’s legit? I came here looking at comments first before calling my bank. Just trying to help out others
- Mark V replies to TygerkatWondering where I said I knew the number before they called me. I did not know the number. I googled the number and saw these comments, then called my bank. After finding out it was legit I came here to let others know. If I was trying to scam anyone, why on earth would my advice be to not call the number back and instead call the number on your card. You people are weird lol
- Tygerkat replies to Mark V| 8 repliesBut since scammers spoof legitimate phone numbers all the time, you can't say with any real certainty that it is legit.
- Mark V replies to Tygerkat| 7 repliesI got the call. I looked on here. I called my bank. They confirmed that they had called to check up on suspicious purchases. They transferred me to the number that called me. That is all, that is my experience. Don’t care if anyone believes me, just figured I would share my story for people who might be curious like I was. This will be my last comment but like I said in my first comment, anybody who thinks this is a scam DO NOT answer the number or call them back. Call the number on your card and talk to them about it. That is the safest thing to do.
- TheRealSeriouslyⓇ replies to Mark VSo you came here to say it's legit. I'm not buying it

Let others know what exactly, that the previous 12 pages weren't informative enough to let them know not to trust a call claiming to be from the bank and that they should call the number on the back of their card instead?Quote:I googled the number and saw these comments, then called my bank. Did returning a few more times to try persuading people it has to be legitimate, that important to you to put in so much effort? When people persist in saying it is legitimate, that automatically raises a red flag to the Community.
A simple statement of "it was legit for me, but might not be for you, so call the number on your card", would have been more than enough.
Its these kind of messages people get from this number that nobody should believe it to be a legitimate call without checking. This person sounds wasted or drunk:
Listen to messageQuote:Good morning, my name is Pat and I do make the calls for No First Bank for a transaction maybe you I was trying to verify more recent activity on the Visa card for James Saltis, are you James Soltis?
Source of message is nomorobo.com/lookup/402-609-5706 - Tygerkat replies to MikeHuntletonHe's mixing up his story. In his first post, he claimed he called his bank first. Then he claims he looked up this number before he called his bank.
- TheRealSeriouslyⓇ replies to MikeHuntleton| 3 repliesBurn much Mike?
- TheRealSeriouslyⓇ replies to deleted post| 2 repliesWhat does burn meme mean? Apply cold water to burned area is a meme and expression issued in response suggesting that one has been badly insulted, or “burned,” and will need cold water to recover.
- MikeHuntleton replies to TheRealSeriouslyⓇ| 1 replyYeah, I know that part, just wasn't sure what you are saying, 'do I get burned much' or 'do I burn others much'. That is what I mean by not having a clue on what you meant. Such a short sentence left the door open to interpretation.
It could also mean 'do I get wasted much'.....thats the one I was thinking... :)
From an outside perspective, it looks as if your asking if I got burned by Tygerkat's reply, but now I see you meant burning the "Mark V" troll. - TheRealSeriouslyⓇ replies to MikeHuntletonThat is indeed what I meant. Sorry for any confusion
- Linda replies to JimInteresting. I received several calls from them over the last couple of days. Also THINK Bank.
- DavidI at first wanted to believe that this number was fake as they were very persistent on calling me. the first 2 times they called was just static but the thirs was reading actual transactions from my account to me. I immedietly called my bank and they verified that this was a real third party caller and helped me with averything I needed

- BigALots and lots of lying shills, scammers, and scumbag thieves in this thread.
- VSI keep receiving calls from this number on my cell phone and now on my job. Whenever I tried to call the number back, it gives a fast busy signal. When I listened to the voicemail message, it says," this is a message for..." then hangs up. Reporting this number because they are calling a government line as well.
