Here's a trick I use:  Answer the call.  If they ask for you (or someone else) by name, tell them to hold on a second and you'll get them.  Then lay the phone down and go about your business and let them wait for eternity.  If they don't ask for you by name, then just tell them "to hold on for just one second", then lay the phone down and let them wait forever.  I did this with a paticular annoying telemarketer and they finally got the message and they apparently took me off their list.  It's fun to waste their time for a while.

Got a call about 11 this morning. No message.

They don't leave a message, but they have been relentless calling me. The caller shows up as unknown. 1/4/09 Sun. at 5:15, 1/3/09 Sat. 3:09 and 1/2/09 Fri. at 12:51pm. How did hey get my # and how do I stop them from calling me?

I received this phone call today regarding the satisfaction for my son's emergency visit. This gug tried to trick me for how I was satified by the greeting time when I was reshed into the hospital. I told him, the greeting time was only 5 minutes, but what is important is the total waiting time which was about 4 hours. But he insisted me to answer, basically he wanted to get my "satisfactory" answer. I tole hime I am satsfied with the greeting time, but not the total time, then he hung up the phone on me. An idiot.

Have rec'd 2 calls from this number during the past week. Didn't show up with any ID information so I didn't answer it. ("If I haven't given you my number/asked you to call, don't bother calling" is my motto.)I have now assigned a "no ring" to the number and "XXX" as caller name. They can call until their fingers fall off but I won't be bothered by it from now on.

They called. I answered. Wanted my wife. I said she's not here, may I help you? They hung up. If they want an opinion, I now have one.

I received a call from this number and they asked if I speak spanish.  I said no and they said they would have an english speaking operator call me back.  I asked what this was about and they said it was from Wachovia Bank.

I am getting a call from this number on my cell phone.  I don't give my number out, how did they get it, and how do I stop it?

I keep getting calls from this number and I too am registered with donotcall.gov.  I answered once and they told me they were calling from the U.S. postal office and wanted me to answer some questions about my passport.  They spoke so quickly I could hardly keep up but I told them I was on the other line and they'd have to call back.  Now I see everyone else is saying it's from a bank. I know not to give any info and I want to report them but how do I do that? Who do I report to?

I am getting these calls from 402-952-4444, we are on the no call list. These calls are not wanted, they need to stop or will take legal action.
