- JPI was getting calls from this Gallup 402-952-4444 in July 2007 but since I never answered, they stopped. Now I get a new 402 call from 402-934-6251. I bought a Caller ID Manager from www.privacycorps.com and I now block all area code 402 calls. The silence is golden!
Gallup, I guess, is a survey company maybe. Apparently the new number is Timberline Total who sells for Cox Communications but is not Cox itself. I see by the Internet when I start getting a strange number, lots of folks are getting it also. With my new CID Manager, these calls go nowhere. They ring on the other end but not on my end. My caller ID shows they happened so I know my blocking is working.
Hope this helps others to get peace and quiet.- Caller: Gallup
- Steve replies to simmsinarlington| 107 repliesI got a call from 402-952-4444 also. I have my home phone forwarded to my cell. They did not leave a message. The interesting thing is that I have a new number and it is non-published.
- hmThey've called me 2x's in the last week as I've been sleeping during the day.. not sure what time (i work nights).. have no idea why.. havent done anything different in the last few weeks except surgery. Who ever it is will get there ass reemed if they call my cell phone again though. Every phone in my household is on the DNC registry.
- JoeSchmo replies to EB| 9 repliesIf you don't want calls on your cell phone then don't give your cell phone out to businesses. Gallup does surveys for lots of companies like banks and also hospitals so use your home number as your contact number if you don't want people to have your cell! God you people are dumb.
- Me replies to Athena| 2 repliesUhhhh hello they know what time zone they are calling and they are not calling all time zones at the same time. Dumb thing to say.
- Yo replies to juniorAnswer the phone and find out smarty.
- JJ replies to kellyWhen Gallup does surveys for patients who were at a hospital it is FEDERAL LAW that they cannot discuss it with anyone other than the patient unless the patient directly give the interviewer permission to do so. It's called HIPPA laws, look it up. He shouldn't have been rude to you though.
- JJ replies to sGod you people are so dumb. Gallup does way more than political surveys. In fact the majority of their surveys are for businesses like banks or hospitals. Go to their website and educate yourself.
- Kristin14029524444, I received two calls today from "gallup". The first time I was out and then they called about an hour later. I suppose if I was still out they would have called every hour on the hour until they could reach me. They said the survey was in regards to one of the banks who holds either a car in my name or my mortgage. To be honest, I was not listening and immediately told the girl that I was not interested in speaking with her and I want to be removed from their call list. She immediately fired back by saying that it was only a customer survey. At that point I told her there was nothing more to discuss and I hung up.
- KellyI have been getting calls from them on my cell as well. They call at least a couple times a day and leave no message. Ughhh!
- LisaI registered with donot call number and this company keeps calling my phone 3-4 times a day. This needs to stop.

NOT a dumb thing to say. There are laws that restrict the times for phone solicitors of many types, but allowing cell phones on the lists really muddies the waters because area code is NOT tied to the physical location and time zone of the call recipient.
The laws probably need to be updated to keep up with technology. I know about half of my friends under 50 have ditched landlines altogether and only use cell phones. - MikeThese dillholes made the mistake of calling me twice in the last two days.
It is Gallup but I dont know why they are calling because they never leave a message. I reported the calls to my state's AG noting that it is the crime of harassment to repeatedly call a number without any intent to communicate. If someone calls you over and over and refuses to leave a message they are harassing you under most state laws. The No-call law has many loopholes including surveys but state harassment law forbids someone from calling one over and over without trying to communicate. How many times is harassment is up to the court but if anyone is calling you many times file a complaint against them with your state AG office. The AG will take action against those who are very frequent violators. I looked at the Gallup website but you cant contact them without giving out your name, phone and email. I'm not giving any info to these snakes which they will use to just contact me more. But any business you tell (preferably in writing or email) to put you on their DNC list must do so. Meanwhile try to get these guys for state harassment charges. Until the No-call law is updated it is not very effective for those loophole companies. As for these surveys you can expect a lot more of them as we near our next election. My time is worth at least $100 per hour with a minimum of $50 so if they want to call for my opinion I will give it to them for $50. Make sure you tell all political surveyors who will call in the future that your opinion is worth money and if they dont pay they dont get any data.
And dont vote for any candidate who makes automated campaign calls and make sure you tell them why you are not voting for them. Eventually it will be realized that phones are not marketing tools they are simply communication tools. Anyone who does not recognize that should be put of business forever!!! And we can do it if we are persistent.- Caller: Gallup

- mary citizen replies to Ron| 4 repliesThis number is from a Gallup Polling organization. They called me because they were hired by my physical therapy facility to check customer satisfaction. They asked first if I wanted to do the survey. Normally I don't bother with them.
