This "402-952-4444" keeps calling me. I called back once and it was an answering machine. Also, I recieved a text message on my cell phone from that same number that said "PLEASE CALL". It is getting pretty annoying!

These jerks just called my cell phone. They should be shut down.

Me as well.  It's very annoying.  They need to be reported and stopped.

calling on sun. eve.......even tho am on no call list........what will it take to stop them?

this number has been used to call me a few times.Their number appeared on my caller ID.The worst part is when you answer the phone they hang up!
This must be a telemarketing call.I wish it would end.

I took the call because I had time to kill.  They surveyed about politics, health issues, life satisfaction and other topics.  I lied in several answers and even told them that I would answer "no" to every question about personal medical conditons since I don't divulge personal health information. They also asked for my bank name and I passed on that. It took over 10 minutes.

This call came in on my caller ID, but the caller didn't leave a message - always as sign of a telemarketer. We're also on the "Do Not Call" list and our number is unlisted, so it appears they're just dialing all combination of numbers

They will not stop calling. I've called them left a message to tell them to stop and they wont. How the hell did they get my number to begin with. I live in New York.

I've been called by this number a lot over the last few days.  This site informed me that it's a polling company.  I'm not really irritated by it because I don't answer and now I know I can call and have them remove me.  But after reading the posts, I find it hilareous that so many people are frustrated.  I've often heard on the news how polls show Obama's popularity is down and other such statistics, and I've wondered how you get polled because I've never been called to give my political opinion.  Well, now I have been.  Maybe I'll answer tomorrow and let them know how I feel about Congress getting involved with the BCS.  hmmm  fun

That phone number belongs to Gallup Survey (gallup.com). They call to ask people to take a survey.

I've gotten 3 calls in the last two days, all on my cell phone.
I'm disabled and sleep incredibly odd hours due to excruciating pain issues and horrid, long lasting insomnia.

They never leave a message and I really can't turn my phone off as I've got to be able to respond when various of my doctor's offices call with test results.
I understand that the "Do Not Call" list only applies to those trying to sell things and actually I usually will participate in surveys, if those on the other end are upfront with me.

But to have it conducted like this, right from the start, reflects badly on whatever survey they are trying to conduct and truly makes me wish to not ever respond to them again.

Thanks though, at least I now know who it is and can just click the "ignore" button on my phone.
