I got calls from this number two days in a row . They are scam bags  , report it.
From my experience I know that Capital One leak your numbers to telemarketers and scam bags.
They sell it. Ignore it ....

Got  a call from this number in Vancouver August 4

I got this call on my cell, in Vancouver, as well.  Told me because I was such a good Fido customer that I qualify for some travel dollars.  All I had to do was press 1.  I hung up.  This is a total scam.  It could be one of those scams where they use your phone number to make a bunch of long distance calls and stick you with this huge bill.
This was not the first time I'd received this call.

Just got a phone call from this number @ 2:20PM PST - didn't pick it up though

I just got a call from this number with a British accent saying congratulations from Telus please press 1. Told the phone to go where the sun don't shine and hung up.

Just got a call, August 5th, 3:30pm, didnt answer

must have called me right after they called you. I got the call August 5th at 3:40

I just received the call indicating I was a valued Telus customer and to press '1'. Didn't do it to avoid the scammers from using my number for whatever scam they have developing.

just got this call as well...didnt answer because i dont know anyone in alberta.  

has anyone ever purchased anything online or entered their phone number for those dumb internet ads?  im assuming this is how my number got out as all my settings are private on websites.

called number back - states not in service - rude!

I got a call from this number too at 5:11 PST in Vancouver... missed it and they didn't leave a message. Thanks for all your post guys. Good to know I didn't miss anything important! lol

in bc,  just ignored it aug5 at 5pm exactly

i got a robot lady voice sating i can get 3000 travel bux from FIDO. i did press 1. guy w/ strong african accent asked me if i was over 25. (wtf?)  i said no and hung up

Got a call from this number in Victoria at 6 p.m. on my cell phone.  Said I was a valuable customer.  Hung up right away.

Got a call from this # at 18:23, and am in Vancouver.  Glad i didnt pick up the call.

Got a call Aug 5, 2010 at 12:41pm. Didn't answer, left no message.

I just got a message from this number on my voice mail. In robot witch voice it said really quickly 3000 travel dollars press one ..... Weird... I am with Bell but from reading the posts it seems to be getting through to everyone. By the way I am in BC and this is a southern Alberta number.

Got this same 'scam' (it would appear) call this morning.   Didn't answer it.  Voicemail in dead zone. Nothing there.   Traced call to southern Alberta.
*** In general, don't know why these knuckle-heads currently in power in Ottawa don't do something concrete  in ridding the airwaves of fraud artists and scammers.   FINE THE CRAP out of them 'HARPER' and your lame government.   Get off your collective [***] and do something positive for a change.

I just got a call couple of minutes ago from 403-709-8686.  I just wonder if these cell providers are actually selling our out our cell phone numbers?   Please stop this, I did not sign to have unwanted calls coming to my cell.  FIDO please stop!!
