I got the exact same thing just a few min ago...a male voice, cut off in the middle from that number about not raising my monthly rates.. hose damn telemarketers :/ b

I received what sounded like a recorded messege on my voice mail. Messege was a lady's voice informing me this would be the last courtesy call I recieved from them for a chance to lower my rates. She asked me to call her back toll free at 800-310-2148 if i was intrested in lowering my rates. I dont have any current balances on anything so I was not intrested and did not call back.

I got the exact same call today at 12:10 p.m. A cut off voice message was left, it was a girl and the message has been described here by most of you. Called from number (406) 351-4172, and asked to call back to a toll free number.

I got half a message like others and the request to call back the same 800 number as others reported.  Seems like a real scam to me.  They stated "this is your last courtesy call."

Scam...how are they getting our cell phone number?

This is a total scam.  I called back and spoke to a Lisa.  She would not identify her company or give an adequate explanation as to how they obtained my phone number.
This company is in Forsyth, Montana.  I encourage everyone to file a complaint with the state attorney general.

They said something like....

Hi this is madison smith, we talked last week about trying to lower your interest rates (we never did)

then I hung up.

I got a call from that same number on my cell phone as well. "Hi, guys, sorry I didn't get back to you sooner about that credit card problem...."  I'm going to call them from my landline when I can to try to find out what this is about -- and then to read them the riot act.

Hi, I just checked my phone and it said I had missed a call, so I looked at the phone number, googled it, and found this website.  From what you all are saying, it's some sort of financial scam.  I don't know where the caller got my number, but I'm a little worried because I'm 15 and whoever he is, he shouldn't have my number.

Got the same call on  6/1/10 at 11:29 a.m.. Didn't answer  it, but just now googled the number and found this  website.

Received a call from this number today- didn't answer it as I didn't recognize the number. A woman left a voice message and said that we had talked last week (not true) and that she had been working hard on getting my mortgage rates lowered. This is the second call I received from this company- the previous one was a few months ago but from a different number.

I got a call from this number this morning saying the same credit card thing. Most likely a scam.

I just got the same message about lowering interest rates on my credit card.

Got a call from this number this afternoon.   Personally, I never answer my cell unless I know who the caller is. So, I didn't answer but they did leave a message.  It was a pre-recorded message from a woman, I didn't catch her name.  She claimed to have spoken to me last week about lowering the interest rates on my credit cards and consolidating payments.  I  have not spoken to anyone about credit card issues period.  This is probably someone phishing for personal and or financial information.  This is really troubling and scary at the same time.  But, it also makes me mad that they are calling my cell phone number.  The message indicated that if I was still interested I should call a toll free number 800 310 2148, which I didn't bother to do so, since I wasn't interested.  I was waiting for the end of the message to say, if you'd like to be removed from our call list, but, it didn't say that.  This is happening more and more all over the country.  Don't give out your personal information period!

I just got this phone call like two hours ago and im a teenager! I heard nothing, I kept saying "hello, hello, hello." and they hung up. so what is the deal with this?
